Code Geass. Since most animes I've seen offer zero to no closure, this was a breath of fresh air. I actually cried when I saw it and cried again when I heard the song that was playing during the ending scenes on the soundtrack. So yeah, easily my favorite ending.

I liked Elfen Lied's ending, in the manga but sadly not the anime at least:

Lucy dies from being shot by Koata

Very sad ending for a wonderful but sad story.

Now watch this, and just as you get to this scene, say "New Juggernaut!"

And yes, I have other favorites but I have to admit this ending is kinda cool.

I gotta go with Elfen Lied. I'm not writing anything down; you're just going to have to see it for yourself.

Well for the one (maybe) other person that's seen it, Bokurano's ending was great.
Ushiro (the chracter you hated most for the whole series), becomes a mature, relatable hero that you suddenly feel bad for

That would be clannad easily

And this would be my second choice

I'd have to go with Beck. I was a great anime and the ending made me smile, which no other anime's ending ever has.

I absolutely hated the ending for Fullmetal Alchemist, but Brotherhood's was far more satisfying.

Cowboy Bebop

See you Space Cowboy... *sob*
I am no anime geek, so I'm limited to
Akira (can't remember the ending), Spirited Away (fairly simple ending), Vampire Hunter D (mostly I was relieve that it was over), Princess Mononoke (a little too neat and sweet and too much like Spirited Away), Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (I generally dislike open endings, however beautiful the singing) and Cowboy Bebop (See you, Space Cowboy. ... *sniff*sniff* ... Pollen, I swear. *sniff* Lilies, on the windowsill, really.)

I've seen some bad shit in my life, but that ending was horrible and I don't mean that it was lacking in quality. If you've never read the manga, you will not see it coming.
I'm tempted to say something, but I'll respect badazz's wishes.

I really liked Karin's ending because:

At first it seems like her poor family is lying dead by the lake, with her grandmother dead at the house. But then WHUPS! Vampires are too tough for a stake in the chest, or a sword, or a few bullets. I was crying for a moment, and then I just stared at the screen as her family stands up and hits her across the head.

Then it turns out the ritual wasn't to make Karin a true vampire. It was a ritual to make her breasts bigger. As if they weren't big enough already!

I watched Rei there was one small arc there that had potential but it fell apart. besides it was only 6 episodes long and composed mostly of comedy episodes which weren't terrible but not what I wanted...
There is a 6th episode in Rei? I've only heard about the Embarrassment episode (an embarrassment in itself), the three Dice Killing chapter episodes, and the Daybreak episode???

OT: The last scenes of episode 13 in Baccano! which - sans the epilogue episodes - concluded the storyline. Very amusing stuff. Also Death Note's ending (sans the Misa part, as with the rest of the series), and indeed the end of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai; calenders are awesome...
