The only anime I can say I truly love is Hellsing. I prefer the OVA series over the TV anime and the manga over the OVA. It's one of the few things I truly consider myself a fan of.
I guess I could award Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. and FLCL second and third slots in my favorite animes, but they both evoke this weird feeling of boredom that I get with most Japanese media. It's not like I didn't enjoy them, but I can't stand sitting through too many episodes at once.

Black Lagoon, FMA:TB, the current Bleach arc is pretty good for fillers. Gintama, Zetsubou sensei when I'm in the mood for it, same goes for Bakemonogatari. Hajime no Ippo and Tetsuwan Birdy Decode. That's pretty much all I can think of at the moment. If I had to choose one, Black Lagoon, hopefully the upcoming Black Lagoon will be just as great.

My tastes shift with great regularity, I tend to "grow" a new favorite anime when I find a new favorite to have.
First it was Robotech/Macross
Then there was Trigun
Followed by Cowboy Bebop
Then RahXephon
Followed closely by Fullmetal Alchemist
Which gaveway to Scrapped Princess
Then I proceeded onto Eureka 7
Made the logical transition to Gurenn Lagann
Which was my last "favorite" anime, but which really hasn't stuck with me until now.
Currently I've had a bit of a falling out with Anime, being out of school I know longer feel the "highschool" dynamic that's so prevalent in alot of it, also being 25, I feel OLD watching anime since all the characters are just so damn young.
Maybe I'll find a new favorite eventually, but it's frustrating because of my unwillingness to pirate, the unavailablility of streaming sites and my similar unwillingness to pay the extortion prices for alot of anime.
