Well, it's 9 in the morning, I've got school in 5 hours from now, and naturally, beer on the brain. Assuming there might be like minded individuals out there, or in the very least, a couple people in an appropriate time zone, I was wondering what everyones favorite beer is?

Mine has got to be Fort Garry Dark. I'm a fan of dark beer in general, and this stuff does it like no other. I'm also a strong advocate for Canadian beer, and this stuff is about as local, and as good, as it comes. My grandpa even used to work in their old brewery.

And now, what about everyone else? What satisfies your beer thirst? And sorry, if this thread has been done before. I'm certain that pretty much all of them have though, and this one at least deserves a repeat or two.

Guinness. The worst days all slip away with a good Guinness.
True until you go to Ireland and realise they are keeping the 'real' Guinness to themselves, that stuff really is the best drink there is. The stuff they ship to the UK is the low grade and after I'd tasted the original and best I couldn't bring myself to drink the crap they sell over here.

Spirits > Beer anyway. Give me a whiskey or rum please xD

Nothing. I dislike the taste of any beer. And I work in a liqour store. Kind of ironic when you think about it.

Beer is nasty. Thick. Frothy. Odd smell. Taste of spoiled bread.

Spirits > Beer

Hell, I don't even drink.

Also, "HEINEKEN!? FUCK THAT SHIT! PABST! BLUE RIBBON!"

QFT. When it comes to beer, Guinness is the only one I like anyway.

Not much of a drinker anyway.

#1 Favorite Beer:

Goldspur,
A 9% Beer served in Pints that can only be found (on tap no less) at one bar in the world, "The Hop In Brew" on 12th Ave and 1st Street South West, Calgary, Alberta.

Honorable Mentions:

Steamwhistle Pilsner,
http://www.steamwhistle.ca/
An awesome beer out of Toronto. I HATE Pilsners normally, but this is some brillaint stuff, I don't know if its available in The States, but if you live in Canada, you owe it to yourself to drink some.

Wild Rose Wraspberry Ale,
www.wildrosebrewery.com/beer/wraspberry.html
Brewed by the best brewery in Calgary, The Wild Rose Brewery, this fruity, dark and awesome tasting ale is had best at the brewery itself, at the Curry Barracks here in Calgary. But it's pretty easy to get all over Canada.

Sleemans Honey Brown Lager,
Simple, tasty and my favorite easy to find beer. You can get this all over Canada with no difficulty and can likely find it in the States. Forget Molson Canadian, this is REAL Canadian Beer.

Hertog Jan,
A great beer that I sampled with great frequency while crawling Amsterdamme pubs, very good stuff but I haven't been able to find any in North America as of yet.

Leffe,
A trappist beer that rocks the show. Highly reccomended. Fairly easy of find if you know a beer store that sells Trappist Beer.

Give me a pint of John Smiths or Boddingtons any day of the week... either that or Guinness and as far as a lager would go (not very) then I suppose Sagres isn't to bad...

I vary my taste in beer fairly often but my all time favourite is probably Tyskie. Sometimes I prefer cider though and I have an interesting love of Super Strongbow, or pikey fuel as I sometimes address it.

Erdinger Dunkel for me, please, and have one yourself!
I'd give a link to a full list of our beers, but I wouldn't want to be accused of advertising. It's reassuring to know that if I fancy a beer in the middle of the night, I've got 130 to choose from! Ironically, though, (and to answer the OP's question), we don't actually sell my favourite beer, which is Rodenbach Grand Cru.

I'm a Guinness man myself: Sadly, not many places here neither have it nor can pour it properly. If they don't have it I usually go with whatever's on tap.

I tend to buy Karhu or Corona for myself though.

Though question bth, but here goes

Local: Hansa, a local brew made in the most rainy city of Norway.
Import: Heineken, San Miguel, Corona and Carlsberg.

I'm actually a little surprised that none of you yanks mentioned Budweiser, but I can understand. It's not like it's real beer anyway:p
