Being Irish, I like the auld drink or 10... my favourite beer is Guinness and something like Stella Artois and Warsteiner.

Whiskey, I'd go for Jameson (Irish), Jim Beam (U.S) and Teachers (Scotland)... Best out of those three is hard to decide.Teachers is nice and smooth, while Jameson has a nice bite.

Aw man, don't make me choose.

I haven't tried many beers outside the Europe, but I haven't really heard that anyone would perfer them over the real beers.

Dark Kozel is definetly worth mentioning. Very smooth and smokey. An excellent drink for any occasion.

Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel, oh man. Now this is what the beer should taste like. Kinda sweet, but still bitter enough so that you can still recognize it as beer. I can't afford to drink many of these per night, so everytime I open a one it's a special occasion which I savour. If you ever happen to come across with this brand, I'd recomment you to buy a bottle or four. Don't be fooled by "kristallklar" (The one with a silver cap). That stuff is distilled, meaning that there's no more yeast with the drink.

Last but not least is a speacial beer from Estonia, "Saaremaa". Absolutely brilliant beer. The fact that the bottles are 0,5 liter and that this stuff is 10% of ethanol means that You need to be carefull while drinking. You don't need many bottles to get that nice feeling. Ofcourse the downside of this is that you're not able to drink many of these per night (Or shouldn't at least). It works like a wine, but tastes like beer. Saaremaa is also un-distilled, meaning that the taste is yeasty and the after taste lingers on your tongue for a good while. All heil the King of Beers.

Oh how I yearn for people to refer to 'beer' correctly as larger, a real drink is a good real ale, like a spitfire or a hobgoblin mmm...beer..

It's official, my new favorite beer is Stone brewery's Imperial Russian Stout. A beer that pours like crude oil and is full of yummy awesomeness.

Also it comes in a 22oz bottle and is almost 11% alcohol.

If you ever want to try a good American beer, I suggest going with something from Stone if you like strong flavored beers. There's always the Imperial Russian Stout I mentioned and if you want to go stronger (in flavor) try the double bastard ale.

If you really want a badass beer, try Ruination, a strong Indian Pale ale (i.e. full of hops and really bitter; so strong I couldn't even drink it).
