Nothing wrong with a good bottle of wine. Guess I´m a bit of a snob too.

Hmm...favourite beer? I simply have to nominate Monty Python´s Holy (Gr)ail by Black Sheep Brewery. Good and silly. That and Velkopopovický Kozel. Domestically, Sandels perhaps.

I agree with root beer being the best. The store brands suck, my dad's home brew is quite bleh. I like the fruity girly mix drinks though. Give me a Mike's any day of the week. If I had to drink a beer though I'd still go with my Dad's, his homebrew would knock you on your tush real easy. Benefits to having a sister in the microbiology field: she can give you super yeast. They live in higher alcohol concentration that the standard. More potent, custom tailored beer or watery, super market junk? I know which I'd pick. Y'all should try brewing sometime, It's fun stuff and more economical to boot. ;)

I'm trying to convince my supervisor to go get us a bunch of Guiness. Funny thing is, she didn't say no, hahah.

Cooper's Pale Ale or Sparkling Ale in warmer months, and Cooper's Dark Ale in the cooler months. Special mentions to: Guinness, James Squire's Amber Ale and genuine German Kolsh (dunno how to get the umlaut or whatever it is over the 'o') from local breweries.

The Becks experience
Same here. not much of a beer guy, but Beck's just nice!
Afraid I'm another 'not much of a beer guy' that likes Becks...or hobgoblin, but that's technically an ale...

Guinness is not beer! Gargh! It's a stout! Gargh!

Ahem.

Miller, my good man.
You are wrong my good sir. Guiness is not a beer or a stout, it is bread in a can.

But Tui is my favourite. Great beer with random trivia questions under the lid.

Hm, we already had this thread, but I'll gladly contribute again:

I'm even a member of their fan-club.

Strange you should ask about beer as I was on a tasting binge to find a beer I can appreciate because I was planning to brew my own. Apparently I live in an area that was famous for its hops at one point and it grows here still. However, I've given up on that idea since there are waaaaaaaaaaay to many factors and it would take at least a month if not several to find out if I had wasted my time or not.

However, as is often the case in these things, I stumbled upon my "brand" meaning the brand of beer that I would buy if I was looking just to buy beer. Which I wasn't so the whole situation is ironic. And my brand turned out to be Coors, of all things. It's such a geeky beer as it was a plot device in a Burt Reynolds movie and I'm pretty sure Wolverine drank it during the Claremont/Byrne run on X-Men.

It's a mild beer that is not too bitter, unlike many I have tried. Yet it is still an American lager, which is like a microwave burrito. Real beer drinkers dismiss it as flavorless, I suppose. But I was unimpressed with the microbrewery stuff I tried.

In the end, I guess I just don't really like beer. I sure as hell don't care for alcohol, so the whole thing has been a waste of my time.
