Chocolate bars? Licorice sticks? Orange-flavored lollipops? Something unusual and rarely seen or something more common? Describe it and what it tastes like!

One note: If you can, please be a bit more specific than just saying chocolate/caramel or some other generic term. If you for example prefer chocolate, what type of chocolate do you like the best (like mint chocolate or with nuts mixed in)? That said, if you can't (any reason is fine) or just don't want to be specific, don't feel any pressure.

And a bonus question: How do you prefer to eat your favorite candy (for example, do you prefer sucking on them or letting 'em melt in your mouth)?

Now to answer my own OP...

My favorite candy is a Swedish hard candy stick called a polkagris, which has a sweet mint taste. They also come with other flavors added on to that, but I prefer the standard one by far. For me, they are eaten best when chewed.

Here is what they can look like (my preferred shape):

And always remember, hail to the candy!

Three Musketeers [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Musketeers_bar], followed closely by Reese's [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reese%27s_Peanut_Butter_Cups].

The former being the perfect blend of chocolate and chocolate, while the latter being the sublime combination of peanut butter and chocolate.

Mmmm. I get hungry just thinking about them.

Possibly Swedish berries though those are probably just at the front of my mind because I came close to buying some today until I remembered I still have a few dozen leftover Halloween candies. Its hard to pick a favorite candy because they're all so good.

Probably a tie between Milky Way and Snickers. The peanuts add a new dimension, but they don't really make it any better for me. Though if I'm eating a candy bar for some quick hunger relief, I'll go Snickers.

inB4 discussion about the difference between UK Smarties and US Smarties

I love M&Ms and Starlight peppermints, if you leave a bag of either...trust me, there won't be any left when you get back.

I prefer Starbursts. But, when it comes to chocolate, it's got to include peanuts/peanut butter; Skickers, Reese's Pieces, etc.

Tough question. I dont consider chocolate as "candy", I consider it "chocolate" so I'm leaving them off of my short list below:

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
Mike n Ikes
Skittles Original
Skittles Sour
Jujyfruits
Hot Tamales

Whatever comes out of the back of a white van.

Or looks like <url=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4Uu9gPRUThA/Tp9NRV5W6WI/AAAAAAAAAI8/NOWtZn01zS4/s1600/Rockets-candy.jpg>Rockets but turns out to be just a lookalike.

The former because that's how you meet new people, and the latter because it makes the taste completely irrelevant.

Hmm. I can't say I have had the pleasure of having those. I do love crispy foods. Might try those out someday.

OT: It's a toss up between Skittles, Hershey's, and Kit Kats. OM NOM NOM.

My favorite candies are Astro Pops.

Although they have been off the market for years. The good news is that in the process of finding that picture I have just learned that more will be made in a month.

My boyfriend sent me a bunch of chocolates and stuff from Canada, and ohhhh my goodness, some of them were amazing. Especially Big Turks. They're basically just Cadbury turkish delights, but... better? At least in my opinion. I'm flying there in a few weeks, and when I come back I'm going to be a fatty.

Milky Way all the way.

Specifically Midnight Milky Way. They need to hurry up and make a Midnight Mint Milky Way, for that will be the ultimate Milky Way.

Dark chocolate, especially if it's infused with some sort of fruit, like cherry or orange. It's hard to beat something that's both unbelievably delicious and not-unhealthy.

Chocolate, of any kind or brand, as long as no fruit is present in it.
Especially Lindt chocolate, that stuff's divine.

Chocolate = Candy? What's wrong with you all?

I don't understand why, but I cannot stop eating these things once I've opened a packet. I'll gorge myself on those things until I feel feeble from fullness and guilt.
That and there's something oddly therapeutic about unwrapping the red outside layer from the white inside using your tongue. It's almost sexual.

Absolutely nothing. If it has concentrated sugar it's candy. Get over it.

And the answer is Reeses because have you had one of those things? There's no way that's just peanut butter they put in there, there's something else they're not telling us about. Those things taste better than they have any right to.

Chocolate bars, I couldn't live without them. Just a normal bar of solid chocolate, milk or dark. None of the American shit either. I'm talking about the good stuff.
