I myself prefer Tungsten, Ytterium and Bismuth. I was just curious to see what everyone else liked.

At first I thought you meant 'Metal' like the music genre. I guess I like Gold because its worth a lot of money.

Oh, and welcome to the Escapist.

I guess titanium is pretty cool.

Nickel's a bit overrated, but it's not bad. I think the best has got to be iron. Good old, natural iron.

Kind of metal, or actual metal? My favourite "kind" of metal would be a metal with a partially filled d-band (more correctly metals that have ionic species with a partially filled d-band), i.e. the transition metals.

Platinum and Palladium are worth a hell of a lot more. As is my choice, OsmiumIridium. It's just so dense...

I like silver, mainly because it's shiny, and expensive.
Platinum is also quite nice.

Pt, Au and Ti (that's Platinum, Gold and Titanium for the Periodic Table illiterate)

Of course they're all really expensive...maybe that's why I like them.

I like crossover metal that takes metal and makes it something a bit different, like Steel.

And heavy metal is always good too (Lead FTW!)

Think of the shiniest metal you've ever seen. Then, make it ten times more shiney.
That, my friend, is my favourite metal.

Tungsten. Densest metal around, highly conductive and it has the highest melting point of all elemental metals.
