I like tungsten, but only because I like to fantasize about having an MG42 with a tungsten barrel that doesn't overheat, firing thousands of rounds without taking my finger off the trigger.

Kind of metal, or actual metal? My favourite "kind" of metal would be a metal with a partially filled d-band (more correctly metals that have ionic species with a partially filled d-band), i.e. the transition metals.
I find I've been in chemistry far too long when I understood "partially filled d-sublevels." So I take it no love for zinc, cadmium, or mercury?

Personally, I like tungsten, silver, and iridium, considering one comes from space. I also like technetium for reasons unbeknownst to me.

Plumbum is a wonderful multipurpose metal. It can be used for plumbing, blocking radiation, poisoning someone, distracting Superman, and good ol' skull bashing.

For religious reasons I like gold, lead, and various other metals.
But silver reigns, because if we have a zombie apocalypse It bypasses the undead's resist normal weapon ability. And if its enchanted with fire by a grand soul gem, it can pretty much one-hit them. I been playing too much Oblivion.

I like my metal the way I don't like my coffee: Black.

Music aside, I'm very partial to hematite.

I'm partial to silver and cobalt, myself.

I'll stand up for technetium if given the chance, though.

Damn, I though this was going to be about music. And I was going to be all witty and say the name of an element.

On topic: mercury is pretty cool. lookit.

That's liquid metal. Do you think it's secretly a mimetic poly-alloy? Cookies for reference.

Strontium because when its a compound like strontium chloride then burnt it makes a pretty red flames.

Or magnesium because burning that never gets old.
