Music wise I listen to a very broad area of metal from classic to thrash to death metal to grindcore to black metal to doom and sludge to various other genres in between. I would probably have to go with Technical Death Metal as my favourite genre or maybe Deathgrind or Grindcore. However Ambient Black Metal and more progressive or experimental metal is starting to crawl up there as well.
Some examples of Tech Death
Deathgrind
Grindcore
Ambient Black
Progressive/experimental

As for element that is a tough choice as a chemist I have a lot of experience with a lot of them so making the choice is a bit difficult however I do have to say Gallium is pretty cool.

Black metal, or technical.. because I do love me some Darkthrone and Enfold Darkness

as for actual metal.. Steel, or surgical steel to be exact, because I love having them in my ears. (I have stretchers)

I don't have a metal genre so to speak, but I like specific artists. I'd probably say System of a Down, Slipknot, Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein and The Killing Tree (Ok, they're metalcore, but close enough.)

As for elements... meeeeehhhhhhhh. Aluminium I guess.

prog metal and extreme prog metal for me. just love the complex structures and epic feel of the genre.

I'll go with titanium. Both aren't exactly heavy, both both are polished metals.

To be honest, I don't really like metal music.

As for metal elements, I've never really given it much thought. I'll just go with Scandium, since it has the atomic number of 21 which is my favorite number ever.

Well I might just do that considering what I've heard from him is pretty unique and interesting.
Oh! I almost forgot to say my favorite metal. It's Barium.

Mostly classic Thrash both Bay Area and East Coast as well as melodic death metal bands such as Amon Amarth and Dethklok although I do enjoy most forms of metal.
