Kenan & Kel, All That (with the original cast - fuck you Danny Tamborelli!) My Brother and Me, What Would You Do?, Weinerville, Rocko's Modern Life and Ren & Stimpy. That was the golden age of Nickelodeon.

Out of all of them I probabaly like Avatar: the Last Airbender the best. It's probably my favorite show of all time actually, I really love it. But I agree with you at one time everything on Nickelodeon was just so wonderful, and now that Avatar is over, they really don't have much left. Some of my old favorites were Rugrats, Doug, I really liked the Angry Beavers, Catdog, and Hey Arnold was especially great. What happed to those days, those were great shows, why don't they have shows like that anymore?

But... Johnny Bravo is from Cartoon Network.

OP: Hm... I'd have to say Fairly OddParents and Ned's Declassified. Man I miss those shows. Too bad I don't get Nick here in Lebanon... :(

I think I remember that one as being an amazing show. Was that the obstacle course type one? If it was, I loved that show. If it wasn't, just ignore this I suppose, and blame it on the drugs.

Spongebob fucking squarepants, Been watching every episode of that show that ever came on since I was a little kid, and still do to this day xD. And if this discussion branches into cartoon network, courage the cowardly dog, still the best show on TV.

Nickelodeon had some great shows. Hey, Dude, Salute Your Shorts, What Would You Do?, Roundhouse, etc. My favorite show is either The Adventures of Pete & Pete, or Doug. I wanted to live on Jumbo Street so bad. Are You Afraid of the Dark? was really neat, too (anyone play Orpheo's Curse?; I'd love to get my hands on that again). Of course, the John K years of Ren & Stimpy go without saying...

Can't say a whole lot about current programming; I find most of it annoying. Ah, well, Netflix Instant has "Ahh! Real Monsters" and "Rocko's Modern Life", so I'm happy.

So I was flickng through channels the other day when I realized that the only shows I actually like on Nick aynmore (Or should I say recently as they still air Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents) were iCarly and Avatar, one of which definetly wasn't geared at my demographic, but was still well written and funny.

It made me long for the old days when almost anything on Nickelodeon was pure Gold, from a cast of sketch comedians with a giant ear of corn, to a two headed animal abomination against nature. So I thought I'd ask everyone what their favorite series was and why.

Personally, I'd go with Hey Arnold. It was a truely funny show that managed to show people from all walks of life and none of them ever felt like they were being forced in for diversity's sake. My only problem was that we never really got any closure with Arnold's parent situation.

So tell me what you think.
Oh thank god, I saw this topic and I'm like... "So gonna get shit for saying Icarly", what can I say, I watch it with my sister every once in a while. Avatar on the other hand I'm not ashamed to say I think is pretty damn good.

I enjoyed the show but I think you need to broaden your horrizons if you can honestly claim that, watch some Boston Legal, Scrubs, How I met your mother, anything that's not shown on Cartoon Network, really. =]

Btw: Angry Beavers for me, course I watched it when I was young so I'm not sure I'd enjoy it nowadays.

My favorite Nicktoon would be either Rocko's Modern Life or Avatar: The Last Airbender, while my favorite live-action show would be either The Adventures of Pete & Pete or Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.

Spongebob was stellar. Today I talked with a kid in my French class about that one episode of Spongebob where Spongebob tries to drive the boatmobile and he and Squidward get stranded and then they have to drive a rock. Squidward never can get a break, can he?

Ned's Declassified, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Drake and Josh.

I didn't watch Nick in the 90's.. Guess I missed out.
