What's your favorite PS1 game series( more than one's fine), and WHY?

Mine are hands down:
MGS: for the incredible atmosphere and emotion
Abe's Oddysee/Exodus: for being the best under-rated puzzle game sereis, PERIOD.
Rayman: for ....obvious reasons
Croc: for .....see above

Final Fantasy Tactics. The Gameboy advance ones sucked, but the PS one game was one of the best game I've ever played.

FF7 and FF9 were pretty good too, while FF8 sucked.

Abe's Oddysee/Exodus were both really fun, but I played them on PC (Yay for Steam deals!) not PS one. >.>

Frogger was probably there before the PS one, but I remember playing it a lot. Epic game.

The first three Spyros and Crash Bandicoot. They should be regailed, but not remade... especially Spyro, since the PSone that series has gone down hill more like a cliff face.

Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Oddworld, Twisted Metal, Dino Crisis, Final Fantasy, Parasite Eve,and Legend of Dragoon. (That last one never got a sequel that I know of, but it really deserves one.) Almost forgot Rayman and Croc.

The first two are obvious, Oddworld:Abe's Oddysee I found to be hilarious, Sweettooth is AWESOMMME!! I thought that Dino Crisis and Legend were underrated and overlooked, Rayman was something like Mario for PS1, and so was Croc. As for FF and PE, I think the FFs on PS1 were the best and PE was an unexpectedly cool game. (Surprised no one said MDK yet...)

Had this retro feeling that I really loved. And I still play them from time to time. I just like them and they aren't too common but rather cheap to buy now.

the moment i read the title of this thread, croc popped straight into my head. probably beacause of all the nightmares i had as a kid, falling into that lava over and over again. curse you puzzle platformers.

hands down spyro the dragon 1-3 (as if that hasnt been stated enough already)
tomb raider 1-4 were pretty epic
and i guess croc 2 and medival 2, but i only ever played the second game of each series
