>< All of you people talking about the Watchmen movie ought to read the graphic novel. It's so much better, I've read it like 3 times now..
Anyway, I've got a few favorite scenes. The first that springs to mind is the end of "Se7en", the last line in the movie: Morgan Freeman is walking with someone and says "Ernest Hemingway once said, 'the world is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the second part."
That scene fit perfectly with a conversation my friend and I had revolving around my other favorite quote (Doctor Who, Season 4, first episode, Mr. Copper/Cooper/whatever saying how choosing who lives and dies would make you a monster, if you're curious).
Another is the scene from "The Thing" (I am a horror/zombie/sci fi/gore movie junkie) where he sticks a hot needle in the container of blood, and the blood jumps out of the container. Really fantastic effects in that movie. Stuff like that was both hilarious and stunning to watch.
OH AND!
The part in Grindhouse: Planet Terror where Abby shows that guy his collection of testicles. The guy asks, "What are these?" and Abby says calmly "They're balls." epic. Epic movie, really.
