Lots of scenes from LotR.
And more or less everything involving Dr. Manhattan talking in Watchmen. They couldn't have made him better. And I say that as a huge fan of the comic.
It was all so... disconnected from humanity, yet so passionate.

>< All of you people talking about the Watchmen movie ought to read the graphic novel. It's so much better, I've read it like 3 times now..
Anyway, I've got a few favorite scenes. The first that springs to mind is the end of "Se7en", the last line in the movie: Morgan Freeman is walking with someone and says "Ernest Hemingway once said, 'the world is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the second part."
That scene fit perfectly with a conversation my friend and I had revolving around my other favorite quote (Doctor Who, Season 4, first episode, Mr. Copper/Cooper/whatever saying how choosing who lives and dies would make you a monster, if you're curious).
Another is the scene from "The Thing" (I am a horror/zombie/sci fi/gore movie junkie) where he sticks a hot needle in the container of blood, and the blood jumps out of the container. Really fantastic effects in that movie. Stuff like that was both hilarious and stunning to watch.
OH AND!
The part in Grindhouse: Planet Terror where Abby shows that guy his collection of testicles. The guy asks, "What are these?" and Abby says calmly "They're balls." epic. Epic movie, really.

In Death Race, when the guy gets led to his cell the first time.

They put him in, the guards walk away only to hear the sounds of somebody getting beat up.

When they walk back he's standing by the door and three guys are laying unconsious in the corner.

He simply looks at the guard and says: "They slipped"

Probably the part of Watchmen where Doctor Manhattan invades Vietnam.
Good one. I enjoyed the part when Rorschach was in prison though.

"Now you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. Your in locked here with me!!"
That was a close second for me, I almost choose it.

No idea, I don't usually watch movies, and I can't remember any particularly fascinating scenes off the top of my head. People dieing in horror movies is always hilarious though.

EDIT: forgot about the good old Goldfinger scene from bond. you all know the one.

Where Edward Norton Beat himself up in front of his boss.

And...

The fight with Tyler Durden at the end.

So many, but the first one that sprung into my mind was Fight Club,
when all the flats just fall down. It all comes together, the bad guys won...or the good guys, gods it's so delightfully morally ambiguous. Ain't that brilliant?
And The Pixies' "Where is my mind" starts to play. :) Beautiful.
I will always remember the scene in the airplane though,
"And now a question of etiquette - as I pass do I give you the ass or the crotch?"
along with,

Boys Don't Cry:
That cruel and heartwrenching rape scene.
Million Dollar Baby:
When Frankie turns off Maggie's life support.

Hmm, a couple are ones that I tend to think of:

1) Boromir's death scene in LOTR, and when he's laid to rest in the boat.

2) Charge of the Rohirrim, that always makes my spine tingle.

3) The hospital scene in Hancock, first time I watched that movie that scene was like a kick in the balls.

I watch way, way, way too many movies to list all my favourites, but these are the 3 that popped into my mind reading this thread.

Oh no, you beat me to it! Well, here is another good scene:
"What do you think Marvin- BOOOM"
In case you don't know what scene that was, it was chronologically after the scene you mentioned, in a car, involved an exploding head :p

They could've made Dr. Manhattan better if they covered up that haunting glowing blue penis of his. I still see it in my dreams. @_@
