I love October, I love monster movies, and the different types of horror, so tell me whats your favorite monster. For me, its zombies, the Romero undead flesh craving zombies, so awesome.

Kraken. Cephalopoda are awesome to begin with, but upscaling one to the level where it can snack on ships is just.. Yeah. I like the Kraken.

Giant killer Rabbits.
You can't deny that they are the greatest oxymoron, so fluffy and yet so deadly... Just like the Furry Death... *shivers*

Pff, Krakens aren't that hard to kill, really. I've already taken out, like, 3.

OT: My favorite are the generic bats from the days of yore, nothing like slicing a bat in half and then repurposing the body as a hat.

Cthulu and other Lovecraftian delights. I just love the mythos surrounding them. Second is vampires. Proper ones though, obviously, traditional murderous, well-dressed gentlemen (or ladies) of the night with charisma and charm that belies their killer instinct.

Really, I prefer the 30 Days of the Night Apex predator kind, but to each our own, as long as it isn't a sparkling teen I'm happy

The Weeping Angel. There is nothing so terrifying as a monster which you will never be able to see their true form. It's there, but not quite ...

I don't know. Maybe some kind of steampunk dragon who hoards industrial machinery. That seems pretty awesome :)

Zombies, good ol undead, fun to kill, but its awesome that it is a virus, the only purpose is to create more zombies, awesome. Plus they dance to Michel Jackson

Zombies.

Especially after opening the gift of Italian zombie movies like Zombie 2 and Zombie 3, I got totally pulled into the genre. (I formerly only into the cult films, like Romero's flicks, Cemetary Man, et al). I hate horror movies in general, but zombies were always cool.

Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.

The Alien is my favourite monster, and yes it counts although its name begs to differ :p.

Zombies are my all time favorite (being a huge Romero fan especially) but not because zombies are the cool "in" monster of the year.

It's because the zombie "monster" as a concept is essentially us. It is used well as a metaphor for consumer culture, and the mindlessness of the masses.

Aside from this I like the Creature from the Black Lagoon. No reason other than he's the mascot for the horror/booze club that my friend runs :D

Any requisites for membership?
I would have to say werewolves. Just something about the struggle between man and beast.

Werewolves, I like the idea of the beast within coming out.

Also because they're fucking werewolves I need not say more
