It's been quite a while since i sat and read through the series...fact 3 books have come out and the author has sadly passed away since.

I'm just sittin here now with my copy of The Eye of the World in my lap and was just wondering, to those who've read the series so far, what's your favorite moment...or if you're like me and can't think of a decisive favorite moment, what moment just sprung to mind when you saw the title of the thread?

Mine...for the moment is when Egwene after being leached by the Seanchan for some time, discovers that those who can hold the leash are also able to channel the One Power, basically by putting the leash on one of them...

Or when Rand finds Mat, hanging from what was soon to become Mat's raven polearm after fighting one of the Forsaken (can't remember which one at this point) and coming out of that doorway shaped Ter'Angreal

The whole Crossroads of twilight...hahaha I'm kidding i'm kidding...That book sucks, its actually one of my books in the list "Books that I buried my face in shame when reading them.".

But anyway...Theres so many good moments in Wheel of Time...I'll go with the prologue on Eye of the World. Don't know why, the whole scene with Lews Therin and the Betrayer of Hope. Its a great way of starting a book really, shoving at the readers face numberous events of the past and names that they are completly clueless...

Okay okay! The real answer now: Best moment? Hmm The whole Dragon Reborn that book was just packed with epic in every possible way, that it was to awesome.

But some books later Jordan forgets how to write, craps out the whole ssaga, and the best solution that he comes up is dying and let someone else finish.

Damn you Robert Jordan all the money you sucked away from me...12 books some I had to buy twice so I had the collection too look properly and not have "Half one size the other half another"...and I'm rambling...I'll shut up now.

By the way The Wheel of Time is being adapted for comics books! Yay! Then I saw the art and it was shit...and I'm rambling again. I should never talk about The Wheel of Time...

Ahhh.... The Wheel of Time. It was on of my first "real" reads. Sadly I lost interest waiting for book 8 or nine to come out. I hope I'll get back into it some time, but I want it to be finished first.

On topic, I still have pretty strong memories of Myrddraals hunting Rand and lots of women crossing their arms under their breasts.

I gave up sometimes during book nine, I think.
When Mat invented the cannon, that was an awesome moment.

The battle at Dumais Wells.

Easily one of the best written battles of all times.
Love Rands perspective in it, especially when he meets up with the reinforcments.

also Perrin's call to the wolves: "They have caged shadowkiller". *shivers*
it just confirmed so much about both Perrin and wolves and how they view him.

Do you believe that I could kill you? Right here, right now, without using a sword or the Power? Do you believe that if I simply willed it, the Pattern would bend around me and stop your heart? By... coincidence?

The first part that really stood out to me as being awesome and that I'll probably remember longer than others - in the first book, when they're travelling across some kind of rolling, hilly terrain, with a bunch of Trollocs in pursuit. They stop on one hill, and Moiraine takes out her sa'angreal (or whatever the artifact is called that can amplify her use of the One Power) and just wrecks them all with earthquakes and fire.

That's one of my favourite moments too.

I'm waiting for the last book to be put out before picking the series up again. I guess that will be my favorite moment once it happens.

So many great moments, but seeing as I'm getting old and my memory's getting rusty, I'll keep with two moments from the last two books:

Chapters 22&23 from the gathering storm, particularly "If you call me a child, Cadsuane, then what are those of you who are thousands of years my juniors?"

And from Towers of Midnight "it's just a weave" amongst many, many others (like Rand going Messiah mode big time stylee)
