Shark repellent Bat Spray.

Nuff said.

EDIT: Sadly, this would negate the awesomeness that I just witnessed of the "Landshark Gun".

The Teraport, from Schlock Mercenary(web comic). It started an intergalatic war! And a war with the Andromida galaxy!

Hamburger earmuffs.

No, really, though, I'd have to with James Bond's underwater car from The Spy Who Loved Me.

Infinite Probability Drive.

The thing turned ancient alien automated nuclear defense missiles to a sperm whale and a bowl of petunia!

Of course if you don't get HTF that works that you are not carrying a towel right now.
HGttG, love that one.

It's hard for me to imagine such things just because I'm an engineer, but I will say:
Portal gun.
(for the second choice - anti-gravity clothes or something)

Wow my favourite fictional invention is the wooden sliding door from Code Geass twas only shown for about 5 seconds, but there's just something about a slidey wooden door that makes it awesome...

Mine would be the shark submarine from Tintin, simply because it's so cool (and I find its smile adorable).

To the best of my knowledge, it's not real anyway...
Or is it?

The Portable Door: From the Tom Holt novels, is a basically a portable, roll up door which you erect on any flat surface and can take you anywhere in time or space, depending on the users wishes.

Long distance portal based technology. Can you imagine how much money and time that would save if placed along the major airport hub cities?

No, wait, AI who aren't crazy and want to enslave the human race.

No, wait, cars that don't fly because that's ridiculously dangerous but can hover of the ground a few feet without tires and can fly over water.

No, wait, full VR interface video games that can simulate all five human senses with complete accuracy and are controlled by the human mind.

AARRGH! CAN'T DECIDE ON JUST OOOOOOONE!!!!

I'll see your Pip-Boy, and raise you a G.E.C.K.

I don't know, maybe a Phase Transition engine would be nice to have too, or an S2 engine.

I'm a Valve fanboy, so I'm gonna go with the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. Or possibly the Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator. (portal gun and gravity gun)
I would say lightsabers, but they seem SO dangerous...
