My personal favorite invention from sci-fi would have to be... uh... crap, i forgot ^^;

Treading new territory, uh... AHA!!! Phyrexians. Nuff said. Who wouldn't want a zombie-cyborg army running on magic first trying to take over the center of the universe, then getting destroyed, and then 7 years after they were last seen, reappearing on another plane of existance in the multiverse trying to convert the plane into their new home?

All will be one, in the name of Yawgmoth, father of machines!

You get the Transporters, Weapons, Replicators, Holodeck, Hot little ensigns running around in short skirts, The shuttle craft (for hob-knobbing with the locals), an Android who likes to play poker, cool adventures every week,...
