Any twist in any movie. Remember to use Spoiler tags but put the name of the movie as the title.

This one always sticks with me because how much of a mega sad moment it is when you realise it. Really early on in the movie, like basically the opening music piece, Lilo is swimming in the ocean and arrives late for her dance class. Her reason is because she was feeding the tuna in the ocean sandwiches because she believes that they control the weather.

Later though, you find out that her parents died in a car accident because of bad weather conditions. It's one tragedy that gets looked over, especially in the Disney movies, but Lilo obviously still grieves for her parents and is just trying to appease the fish, possibly in memory of her parents or to keep her sister safe. That's tragic in my own opinion

Usual Suspects.

There's no way a spoiler can do it justice, it's just something you have to see.
And, if you have seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

Of all the...wow. I find it incredibly awesome that THAT is your surprising moment. It's amazing what sticks with different people. That is really cool to me.

In the spirit of that...

The way it ended with Gusteau's closing, that really was the only logical conclusion to it. As awesome as a fight they put up, there's no way they could have just gotten away with having rats seen in the kitchen by Skinner AND the health inspector. Yet when I first saw it, it still caught me by surprise. The whole sequence, starting with the dinner rush and ending with the reveal of Remy to Ego and then his review, was so euphorically triumphant, and then the closing was a wonderful smack to get the audience back down to earth. It kept the ending from being too sickly sweet. And then it made the reveal of Remy and Linguini's new restaurant all the more satisfying.

I've not seen Ratatouille myself (now the plot but not seen it) but I like that twist. It did stick with me. And yeah, that moment sticks with me because Lilo is one of my favourite Disney characters. She's weird, violent and dramatic. A kid. Something Disney tends to fail at. But it's that little bit that gets looked over a lot and really adds something to her as a character. That whole movie has a lot of sad moments in it but I think that is one of the most memorable ones because it's a twist that just smacks you in the face when you realise it.

Agreed, best twist in any movie EVER.

I know the entire movie is foreshadowing but I didn't really figure it out until after they explained it and showed the video camera scene

Beat me to it. But this, basically. And agreed, it's something you just have to see. Hell, the entire movie is full of stuff you have to see.

'Oldboy. No, I'm not going to abate the significance of it by merely describing what happens even in a spoiler, see it for yourself silly. ;)

Bruce Willis used to be one of the "bad cops" that will be brought down when Mos Def testifies.

or there's

Glenne Headly is the infamous American con artist called the Jackal.

but my absolute favorite, craziest twist ever is

There's so many in this one it's crazy. Andre Benjamin and Vincent Pastore are Jason Statham's former blockmates (the chessmaster and the con artist) in solitary confinement. The pair haven't actually been loaning out Jason Statham's money, just making him think that he has been. Sam Gold doesn't actually have any power. But the best one of all? Jason Statham's voice-over monologues is not actually Jason Statham, but rather his ego. Andre and Vincent characters are trying to convince him to fight his ego all along.

First rule of Fight Club: Don't talk about Fight Club.
In other words, Fight Club... Never existed. There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

The original Planet of the Apes. I'm not telling where, and I'm not saying when. For a movie set in the 60's though, in the grip of the Cold War, its message was quite radical. Radical, and benign. One of the best plot twists I've seen in film.
Agreed. I can't appreciate the impact it had originally but when I first saw it at age twelve-ish, it blew me away. It was probably the first big film twist I ever saw as well. Amazing moment.

Twists like in Saw or Fight Club where you are told the twist ahead of time or can figure it out. That way the big reveal holds more weight.

inb4 "Luke, I am your father."

My Choice: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Admittedly having read the book before hand I already knew how the movie would turn out. However, both the book and the film pull it off superbly. From everything that happens in the first 3/4 of it you don't doubt for a second that Sirius is bad to the bone and that he's out to kill Harry, and when you find out the truth it is a "Say What?!" moment that played a huge part in my life-long fandom for the series.

I'll field this one. The only danger is if they send us to that terrible Planet of the Apes...Wait a minute, Statue of Liberty - that was our planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!

I hate every ape I see
From chimpan-a to chimpan-zee
No, you'll never make a monkey out of me

Oh my God, I was wrong
It was Earth all along

You've finally made a monkey
(Yes, we've finally made a monkey)
Yes, you've finally made a monkey out of me
(Yes, we've finally made a monkey out of you)

I love you, Dr. Zaius!

I don't think you need be so coy. Planet of the Apes is mine too, closely followed by Soylent Green and The Third Man.

The one at the end of The Game. I know I am not the greatest at realising twists in a movie but I thought I had it nailed and then the movie completely surprised me.
