Spyro 2 for sure. First 3D platformer I obsessed over, and because of it it's my favourite genre. Also got me back into gaming years ago, so that's good too.

And then there is also Klonoa: Door To Phantomisle, Crash 2 and 3, and Final Fantasy 7.

Mine wooooould have to be Crash Bandicoot Warped, or maybe Digimon world 3 (>_> Don't judge me!)
I may be blinded by Nostalgia, but I'll agree, Digimon World 3, is awesome (even though I never was able to finish it)

OT: Spyro Year of The Dragon. I played it to bits. I still have the game, however it's been played so much that in most of the game, much of the music will be a bit stuttering, and when you come to world 3, the game crashes (So sadly, I can't begin anew)

Runner ups:
Spyro 2
Crash Badicoot 2 and 3
Rayman
Gran Turismo
Tekken 3
Croc

EDIT:

How could I forget Croc? That game was sooo awesome.

Final Fantasy IX... There is no other game I have played for that long or that many times! :D

Also C+C Red Alert! Local multiplayer was awesome on that game! The first great multiplayer before internet gaming!

I never played on a PS1 until a few years ago when one somehow ended up in my possession, along with some of the best games I've ever played: Tomb Raider (here come the flames), Syphon Filter, and of course, Air Combat-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XULNre7uFts&feature=player_detailpage#t=453s

Mine has to be MediEvil 1. It was the very first video game I played, and to this day still one of my favourites. Its incredible blend of black humour, gothic atmosphere and wonderful music goes unparalleled even today. Crash Bandicoot 1 is a very close second, though.
Metal Gear Solid 1 because Metal Gear Solid 1.

There is no better answer.
Too bad I think Jersey Devil is a better answer. :3

Either FF9 or Harvest the Moon - Back to Nature. I probably couldn't decide between the two for less than 50 bucks for ya.

Viewtiful Joe probably, mainly because it had Dante in it.
Not to burst your bubble, but that's a PS2 game.

If you asked me back then I would of said Frogger. I can kick anyone's ass in Frogger. However now I'd say Chrono Cross, even though a lot of people seem to hate it for not being Chrono Trigger.

Fucking Ape Escape.

First platformer to use the analog sticks exclusively.

Also, monkeys, lots of them, that you can catch.
First post-SNES (don't know which generation that was) game I ever owned.

It still holds up. All of it.

Yeah, I still have fond memories of it.

Was a great little game that came out of nowhere and stole my heart.

Wish there was a PSN release...

Aaaah so hard to pick one!! The PSone was amazing.

I guess Suikoden 2 would be my all-time favourite. Brilliant brilliant game that still brings tears to my eyes despite the fact that I have finished it 5 or 6 times already.

Also, Final Fantasy 8. Yes I know, not seven, Im sorry. I really like 7 and 9 as well, but 8 will always have a special place in my heart.

And lastly, Metal Gear Solid. Just, wooow! What a game, I still remember playingi e for the first time when I had just started high school some 12+ years ago and I was just blown away. A game that actually felt adult and serious with politics and betrayals. It is wonderful.

So yeah, I would have to narrow it down to three games (and FF: Tactics, and Xenogears, and... gaah too many good games!!)

Team buddies, that game was beast, my brother and I used to spend hours playing that game. And the remarks that came from their cartoonish mouths were so funny xD

Never did try Ape Escapes 2 and 3, were they up to much do you know?

I've still got my Ape Escape, if I had an archive, it'd be in there, next to Deer Avenger.
...I've got a useless filing system.

Ninja'd! ...I saw the title and MediEvil was the first game I thought of. Excellent game, brilliant humour.

I'd also have to say Oddworld, Oddyssey and Exodus.

Nah, I didn't play any of the sequels.

I have no idea why...
