Atom Zombie Smasher does not get enough love in my opinion. Y'all can run around and lob molotovs when the zombie apocalypse occurs, but I'll be in a zeppelin ordering orbital strikes on the infected population.

Frozen Synapse is also great fun. Winning and losing a game feels very much tied to your ability as opposed to dumb luck, which I appreciate (which is ironic because a great deal of atom zombie smasher boils down to luck and I love that too).

The Witcher has a lot of problems, but I really enjoyed it. Yes, even the combat. Haven't played 2 yet.
...Indie games? The Witcher?
Whaaaaaa...

OT: Recettear: An Item Shop's tale. Very fun, and unique as well.
"Indie" is short for Independent Developer. It counts. The one you listed is something I've had my eye on. It that good?

Iji.
Download it here: http://www.remar.se/daniel/iji.php

By far the best indie game I've ever played, and I've played quite a few (and made some too...). I've never played Minecraft, but it's a creative tool and nothing more (it's a fantastic concept, don't get me wrong, but I doubt there's some kind of emotional connection with it). But Iji is one of the only games I've played straight through, watched the ending and just sat there like "Oh my... that was a good game...". PLAY IT.
