Getting the "Walk Free" achievement in Grand Theft Auto 4 by accident. That was weirdly hilarious. I smashed my motorcycle, flew into a construction site and was trying desperately to sprint back to the road to get a new car when suddenly my wanted level dropped and i got the achievement. Games quit presenting a challenge for me in 2006 so comedic moments are the only ones i really remember.
But if you want the most impressive, i did once complete the final mission of Saint's Row 2 on the maximum difficulty without any damage being done to my chopper beyond damage i inflicted on it gunning down the pilot before i stole it.

I was Battlefield Bad Company 2 at a friends house, it was right after the game had just came out.
I started off as a sniper and found a cozy little hill to sit on.
After sitting up there for a couple minutes a helicopter shows up and chases me down to the dock.
So I'm running in and out of cover when he swings the helicopter around, directly in front of me and was probably just about to fire to.
When: BAM! I no scope'd shot the pilot and the entire thing spins around and exploded some where behind me.
The friend whose house I was at is a super gamer (100% every Halo, COD and I think Battlefield as well) so when I took that chopper down I felt like a superbamf.

Double marksman headshots are some of the best feeling kills ever. Especially with the skill it takes to snipe in BFBC2, not like Halo or CoD where you just put the crosshair on them and pull the trigger.

OT: Beating Ganon in OoT. That's still my favorite final boss battle ever, and it felt so epic as a kid.

In Half-life 2 ep. 1, I was at two health, critically low on ammo, and accidentally quicksaved with this in place during an ambush. After dying several times I scraped by leaving ten to twenty dead combine behind me.

Beating Berial (flamey boss dude) in DMC 4 on Dante Must Die difficulty (highest difficulty where you are not killed in 1 hit, and the enemies are actually more dangerous than on 1 hit kill difficulty, they just can't, well, 1 hit you)... in less than 2 minutes, without ever getting hit, and the combo score was SSS (Smokin' Sick Style, the highest possible) for the most part. With Dante. It was pretty badass.

Heh, my captcha is piece of cake :p

When I played Bad Company 2 at a friends house. I normally play Xbox, and he had it on a PS3. I had some experience online with Bad Company 1, but not that much. I was playing online, terribly due to the strange controller, and my friend was teasing me that I couldn't aim. I died, and he said it again. Out of a whim I took the sniper class with red dot aim, something terribly stupid I unlocked in that match, and jumped into battle. I aimed at the heli that had been tormenting us for the entire match and shot. And the copper came down. Turns out that I shot the pilot, and that the 5-man crew inside died with him. My friend afterwards never said anything about my aiming again.

Err... Super Mario speedrun?

Thread's about the awesomest thing you did in a game, not your favorite cutscene.

When I shot the head off a Raider in Fallout 3. The body slumped backwards, partially upright against a wall as the head tumbled down and land face first in his crotch. My brother did a similar one, but the head landed on a shelf next to a row of skulls.

1st thing that get's to my mind:

Resident Evil 4
and this is only for those who played the game, to keep it short

Shoot the bell, both Garadors run into the wall, get their claws stuck and stand next to eachother.
I shoot sideways with 1 bullet through both parasites on their backs. Awesome shot, nobody saw it :/

I would guess that my greatest moment was a TF2 session back in 2010 as a demoknight; within a single round i had gathered 42 skulls in one life. It was an 8 minute round.

As of now i have a throne of skulls to rival Khorne himself

Hmm, I can only recall the moment in KOTOR where I ran on the roof in the island with what's-her-name and then you got your actual big choice in the game and I went Dark Side and slaughtered her. Oh, that is one of my proudest moments.

Well, it was simultaneously my greatest moment and most terrible frustration. I was playing Battlefield 1943 and kicking serious ass with my Corsair. Every Zero that went up got flamed, every tank got blown to hell, I even took out several Bofors AA guns without getting killed myself. There were several awesome moments in there, one of the best was when I managed to drop one bomb (the bombs drop in close pairs) into a machine gun tower and have the other go over a cliffside and smack a tank right in the turret, killing him too. But that doesn?t even compare to what happened later.

When the game ended, I was pretty psyched, figured I had racked up a 1k+ score (which is VERY difficult to do in a single round). Imagine, then, my surprise, when I saw my final score.

1338.

I think this is one of the few recorded instances of just being too awesome for your own good.

A tie between completing Jumpin' jack flash on hard rock difficulty in elite beat agents and the lamborghini seasonal event on GT5 (the tarmac course, toscana I think), just being so smooth in the gallardo (stock) and enjoying the road.

The EBA moment for skill and difficulty,

The GT5 moment for absolute fun and joy.

Honestly, I've never really been invested in much. I played the fuck out of Spore and got super nerdy with it (made charts to keep track of upgrades and such for each of my colonies), and I only ever really play simulation, platform and fighting games (Mortal Kombat and the like), BUT... that said, my best moment was when I finally got a self-sustaining city going in Sim City without any cheats at all. I don't know why, but I've never been good with it, and things always end up going to shit. That one city, though... I took my time and felt like a champ.

Yes, I am Gamer Lite. Step off.
