Not my home town, but a town about half an hours drive away is the town where the radio was invented.

Nothing really. Used to be cotton mills, but that was a long time a go, back when everything was made locally.

Bognor is famous for being slightly shit. Not fully, just that little bit.

It's almost famous for having a very boring beach, and being about fifty years behind the rest of England.
Don't you have a butlins?
I prefer to call it the Flea-Infested-and-Urine-Soaked-Idiot-Hole.

Perth City, Western Australia.... a tiny little city with no major landmarks or clear interesting features. This is the major city of Western Australia which shows how truly exciting WA is... and since WA is the biggest part of Australia shows how exciting we all are.

*sigh*

Well according to the internet, Cardiff's most famous citizen was the wealthy second Marquess of Bute, who, built the docks 1839.

Unless you count "celebrities" like Charlotte Church or somesuch.

I was born here. That will be hugely important later. Just wait.
+1. We're not important now but people will line up in front of my house in a few years.

I live in LA, famous for douche bags, famous douche bags, and alleged gangs (I've yet to see one gang member).

I think Madonna was born in mine.

Not exactly something for a town to be proud about, but there it is.

Birth place of John Logie Baird, the inventor of the television.

To commemorate him, there's a big erection on the sea front. You've got every right to giggle, because it does actually kind of look like that.

Milton Keynes - famous for the longest shopping centre in Europe, the Bowl that a lot of band (ie Green Day) play, and for generally being a place nobody wants to live in...

My hometown had the tallest freestanding structure in the world for a while, Canada's only professional league baseball team, and the worst team in the NHL.

Congrats if you can guess where.
