Hey everyone

My friends, since we know last generation was longest gen ever which include many good and bad games. but what games you consider your least fav or worst games of last gen?

heres what i think

Bioshock Infinite: Probably the worst shooter i have ever played. i couldnot even play it more than 2 hours. the shooting is bad and level design is even worse. elizebeth is also very annoying sidekick. cant belive this game is spritual successor of system shock 2 and 1999 mode did absolutely nothing

Assassins Creed 2: While assassins creed is annual franchise like COD and is one of the most rehash franchise in history but i think this game take the cake. its even worse than first assassins creed and very boring game. plus i cant stand ezio. terrible protagonist.

Tomb raider reboot: This game make uncharted one of the most intelligent game on market. thats how bad it is. atleast uncharted manage to have a decent gameplay but this game failed at bieng uncharted clone and all lara croft does is whine "this is soo hard" "this is beautiful".

Hitman Absolution: As a fan of franchise what were they thinking when they remove big map and include batman detective mode? but luckily they now back to roots. if its someone else like ubisoft they wont admit mistake and will make dumbed down games over and over again

Max Payne 3: This is a great example of how rockstar ruined one of the most iconic franchise. max payne in daylight? with terrible story that try too hard and bad level design which make every door unskippable cutscene. Bring on Quantum break.

Splinter cell blacklist: Its even worse than conviction. unless this franchise at ubisoft hand there will never be a good splinter cell game in future.

Call of duty: there were many COD games last gen so its hard to pick one.

Crysis 2 and 3: 2 was most dissapointing sequel and 3 was most forgettable game in series that lot of gamers even forget 3 exist at all. these 2 games ruined the good reputation of first crysis too otherwise it could be one of the great franchise.

Mass Effect 3: Playing it for hour make me realize how mediocre its shooter is and how non existance its RPG wise.

well there are more but these are only i can think of

I was initially just going to rant on every game I hated, but I realized that misses of the point of a "least favorite" and would probably just turn into a "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!" rant against popular games that were far, far superior to what released through Steam Early Access (e.g. The Slaughtering Grounds) and mobile (e.g. Dungeon Keeper). Then there the games that were tied to broken servers (e.g. Sim City) or were the just plain bad games none of us played because we got warned beforehand (e.g. Ride to Hell: Retribution, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Amy). Sure, I could rant for hours about how much I hated Assassin's Creed 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, or The Witcher 2, but I'm sure even the worst of those games is at least objectively better than a lot of the worst games I actively avoided.

So with all that said, my worst is Dungeon Keeper. I played it out of curiosity, and it is impossible to put into words how awful that "free-to-play" system makes the whole game until you experience it. I've tolerated poorly optimized games, downed servers, and buggy releases more than I could ever hope to tolerate that. It is truly a marvel of just how horrible a game can become when tied to a truly exploitative implementation of the free-to-play system. Normally I'm willing to let EA slide on a lot of stuff, but I will never, ever forgive them for Dungeon Keeper!

Not trying to be a hipster here, but I bought Skyrim on launch day and I just found it incredibly boring. Maybe it's because I hadn't played a TES game before and thus didn't know what to expect, but I found the combat awkward, the story lacking, the voice acting laughable, and visual design ugly. It created such a negative impression that I never went back. It's by far my most regretted game purchase.

I'm no doubt missing some, but the prizes go to:

-Most Disappointing: Halo 4 (Golden Sun: Dark Dawn comes to mind, but while it doesn't live up to its predecessors, not only were my expectations insanely high, it's still a good game at the end of the day)

-Least Bang for My Buck: Halo 3: ODST (took around 4 hours to beat the campaign - easily my least favorite Halo game)

-Most Average: Gears of War: Judgement (not sure if "average" is really a criticism, but it's easily my least favorite GoW game)

-Shortest Time I Played Before Stopping: Fallout 3 (though at some point I want to commit to playing through it so I can get a proper opinion) or Assassin's Creed (at some point I want to try this series again)

-Greatest Franchise Derailment: Sonic the Hedgehog (as in, it was the generation where I stopped caring - I didn't finish 2006, Unleashed, Secret Rings, or Dark Brotherhood for various reasons, and while I loved Rush and Rush Adventure, I feel it was this generation that Sonic truly went awry. Course there's Sonic Boom, but haven't played it)

-Outright Worst: Metroid Prime: Hunters (dishonorable mention by Mirror's Edge)

The ten worst games of last generation

Grand Theft Auto IV
Halo 3
Minecraft
Call of Duty (All)
Gears of War (All)
The Last of Us
Gran Turismo (All)
Metal Gear Solid 4
Uncharted (All)

They are also the five best selling games on 360 and the five best selling games on PS3. Coincidence?

So much edge in here I heard "You think you know me".

Anyway my choice is probably Sonic '06. As someone who has been brought up through with the Sonic games, this was like watching him get him by a car. Then the car explodes and bursts into flames. And then neo-nazis come and piss on it to try and put it out. Music was still good, though.

I hope my original post conveyed enough sarcasm. Internet isn't a great medium for that.

My message that relies on tones that cannot be revealed in text wasn't regarded as sarcasm, and you were shocked? I'm not sure what emotion I feel right now.

Definitely conveyed a little sarcasm, but, you know, Internet... [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe's_law]

Also, the thread's title could change to "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!" and still accurately represent a good portion of the thread up to this point (not counting the edgy jokes). That certainly didn't help.

Too Human: This was just unplayable garbage.

Modern Warfare 2: This crapped all over all that was good about MW1 (one of my favorite 7th-gen games) and introduced overpowered b.s. to multiplayer.

Force Unleashed II: I actually liked this game...because I borrowed it and didn't have to pay a penny for the experience, but the fact that they actually charged the full $60 for a game this short? Terrible, just terrible.

ABSOLUTE LEAST FAVORITE - Final Fantasy XIII: Time has actually softened my hatred for this game to the point where I'm almost willing to re-visit it, but it was definitely the biggest disappointment. It was the game that I spent more time that any other hating and roasting over and over and wishing it was different that it was.

Probably Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City since I don't have those games anymore... The formal both bored and frustrated me and the latter just frustrated me and my cousins...

Other than that, Sonic 06 is the only game in my "least favorite" list to be played [in full] more than once... :p

It's so popular to hate these games right now, it was seriously hard to tell there for a second.
