What's your Love interest in Mass Effect 2? and why?

Hello everyone!

It's my first topic, so be gentle with me please. I have been playing Mass Effect 2 a lot lately, and I realized that, as I play different playthroughs I always go for the same option when it comes to romance (I play with two different Sheppards, a female and a male), and I always pick

for my male Sheppard and

for my female Sheppard.

I developed a love for these characters, that I can't explain, but you guys surely can do better than me. So, in whatever number of words you want (and marking the spoilers please) tell me, what love interest do you pick in Mass Effect 2 and why so?

because she seemed to have a better personality.

Of course you cannae get the Achievable from my first choice (The only reason I bothered to have a relationship in the first place) so it all fit together quite nicely.

Tali. Why? Cause i like her logical behaviors.
Ok most people would say Miranda because she has got better textures and with a "better body". But she is very arrogant and snob person. I prefer people that is tend to teamwork, and can stand by itself.

Tali is also skilled, intelligent and loyal. i like those attributes.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that most people here chose Tali.

Why?

We fetishize vulnerability. It's funny, for me, because I remember on Illium in the bar you overhear a conversation with a Quarian complaining to her Tauren friend about a human being attracted to her due to her perceived vulnerability/weakness.

We're a predictable lot, us low-self-esteem gamers. Throw a girl at us with an obvious awkwardness (as with Tali), who's vulnerable and a bit of a wounded bird (as with Tali), who's shy and reserved and opens up to only us (as with Tali), and we'll go to it like an addict. It's like catnip for us.

I picked Garrus because for me he was the most likable character. I had a few doubts at first about dating him because of what happened in Mass Effect 1. When it happened I couldn't stop laughing at every scene. It was great - pure comedy. Garrus just fun to be around. Lol - so what if it wasn't human on human deal - It was still good times and that's what matters in a relationship, am I right?

My first love interest was Jack, because I wanted to see what was beyond the whole "I'mma gonna kick yo teeth in" thing. The romance scene with her was touching.
My second love interest was with Tali, because she's just so sweet and innocent.
I not sure who my female Shepard will love yet though.

yes after all it's not like the other options were a psychotic killer and a stuck up I don't need anybody jerk ... oh wait. a lot of people chose tali because out of the female cast she's the only one that's you know nice and interesting. Mrs. chambers was a blank slate for flirting and the other two girls had plenty of reasons for people not to like them

as for me I stayed faithful to my ME1 love interest kaiden alenko

I went Miranda on my male Shepard, and Jacob on female Shepard.
Chambers: Nice, but kind of dull.
Tali: Lacing her dialogue with space-Yiddish was fun, but she was kind of bland otherwise.
Jack: An unpleasant psychopath. Killing her in the suicide mission brought me great joy.
Garrus: In 1 he had the mentality of an emo with a stick up his ass. In 2 he emotionally matured from 13 to 15, his personality could be described as an angry teenager. "Screw you dad! I don't want to be a cop anymore! I'm going backpacking through the Terminus systems to find myself!"
Plus Turians have scales and an exoskeleton. Can you say "chafing"?
Not to be superficial, but he is horribly disfigured.
Thane: It takes some serious psychological issues to go after a guy who's going to be dead in roughly a year. He's still hung up on the wife he remembers perfectly, and again; scales. Friction is a cruel mistress.

While that is correct on who I chose, I at least didn't really see per say vulnerability in Tali. She can be shy, reserved, and awkward. This doesn't have to directly correlate with vulnerability, however. She can, in fact, handle herself quite well in most situations, with some obvious exceptions to that overall statement.

But hell, I'd probably need some comfort too if I found my father dead and that the reason for his death directly related to his own actions that were done on behalf of trying to provide a better life for me.

She has her moments of strength and her moments of needing help from others, and in that it just makes her more real. We all have those sorta ups and downs throughout life. That doesn't mean she is an overall vulnerable gal, though. At least, I can't speak for y'all but that's my opinion on the matter.

I decided on her for my Shepard's love interest due to a combination of her overall personality, her intelligence, and her drive to help get the job done no matter the circumstances. Plus I just didn't really connect to any of the others. *shrugs*
