So alright, x-rays have gone through my skull and that made me for some reason want to know if you guys had a certain Magic Style, which one would you want? Im not talking super power, im talking like would you be a necromancer, elementalist, summoner, whatever it is, name it, explain it, make one up! Share those opinions!

I'd like the idea of healing and messing around with tangiability.
I mean, the best kind of healing would be to make a sword not be able to work in the first place, no?

I guess I'd be a healing/support kinda character.

I've always thought of myself as a spiritualist, out of a mixture of some friends in elementary school and reading Shaman King and Yu Yu Hakusho. I'd summon spirits and channel/communicate with them.

Moving crap with my mind, like a freaking Jedi.

Actually, replace "Magic Style" with "Force Powers" and my favorite would be ALL of them lumped into one big writhing mass of badassery

I've always leaned twards Green. I love me some forest mana. Yes, yes I am a big enough nerd to talk about MTG. I wanna summon things that devour cities and still feel hungry.

Illusionist, (just like in Oblivion) crating light, turning invisible, causing fear, that sort of manipulation.

Haxomancy. It allows me to alter the very fabric of reality by altering certain key threads of the space-time continuum every so slightly. Using this power I can render myself invulnerable, pass through solid objects, and imbue any object I chose with the destructive power of the Tsar Bomb. However, existence is a fragile thing, and occasionally I'll pull a thread of time too far, causing reality to unravel. Then I have to spend a few hundred million years having to put the whole bloody thing back together again. I never manage to get them exactly right, so there tend to be slight changes. Why, this one time, I created a reality where the Matrix sequels were boring and there were two World Wars. Could you imagine?

Elemental, i can use wind to fly, ice to block projectiles, and fire and lightning to rain hell, what else do you really need bar healling, but honestly whos going to come against a flying person using fire and lighting, not many.

Unless your meaning a Dnd style magic class, then it would have to be a cleric, due to healling abilitys.

I figure that being a necromancer would be cool, but impractical, after all, what policemen wouldn't be disturbed by the sight of a legion of unthinking undead?

elementalist would be the most practical, fun, and applicable in everyday life, and a great conversation starter too, as long as you resist the temptation to pull a "maralyn monroe" every time you see a hot chick on the street...

{hint; wind is an element too}

;)

I prefer to think of magic in terms of the types of things you can only describe in abstractions. Its why I like Patricia A. McKillip's works.

I guess all of my magic would deal with putting my consciousness into other things and manipulating them as them. Throwing my mind into a wall and appearing on the other side. Throwing my mind to the winds and traveling where I feel like. That, in conjunction with very practical magics that are easily applied to everyday life.

Omnimancer.

That's right omni I'm not stopping at one force I will control them all. Aero, Carno, Chrono, Cryo, Electro, Flecto, Herbo, Hydro, Lumo, Necro, Pyro, Spatio, Psycho(Actually Tele but Psycho sounds better), Geo(Actually Terra but Geo sounds better).

If you can put mancer behind it I will bind it to my will. http://www.hollowgame.com/wiki/Mancer

I'd actually steal a style from nWoD: Mage the Awakening.

I'd be a Moros, a Necromancer on the path of Doom, of the realm Stygia and scion of the Watchtower of the Lead Coin.

Ruling Arcana: Death, Matter.
Inferior Arcana: Spirit.

Death: The Subtle Arcanum of enervation, decay and transitions, capable of removing and storing souls, enervating and forcefully transferring vitality, killing magic itself and affecting or creating undead, shadows and ectoplasm.
- "Like the fly that nourishes itself on death, I discern the specter of the grave in all its manifestations, from the grossest to the most rarified. I see unquiet ghosts and speak their whispered tongue. I know the ailing spirit for what it is. I scent the Reaper upon the wind and follow him to his hiding place, no matter how he seeks to conceal himself from me. I shape the very stuff of darkness, making it cast shadows of my own design"

Matter: The Vulgar Arcanum of alchemy, inanimate objects and inert elements (Air, Water, Earth), capable of shaping and transmuting almost all non-magical materials and enhancing and creating mundane objects.
- "Empiricism begins with observation. Even the primitive researchers of centuries past could deduce that simple truth for themselves. I gaze upon lifeless matter and see into it, witness the intertwined strands of atoms and molecules that comprise such substances. At a glance, I know one material from another, even those that are, to the eye of the mundane, seemingly identical. I look into such constructs and discern their secrets, their strenghts and... their flaws."

"So what if I can make diamonds from ash? All the riches of the earth will not buy you a single additional breath. Even diamonds will decay one day."

Whichever class of magic that lets me blow shit up with my mind, turn people into sheep, and set things on fire by staring at them really intensely.
