Mine is people with .gif's as avatars. I'm trying to read someone's post, but the dancing cat or rapidly changing images of Fluttershy keep distracting me! Damn all of you .gif users to hell! I bet your special punishment is being forced to watch annoying .gif's for all eternity so you can see how annoying they are! So, what first world problem irks you the most?

First world problems that I find most annoying? Traffic.

I honestly feel really snobbish just answering this thread. >.<

not being able to correctly estimate the amount of milk needed for my cereal.

if i pour too much milk, ill be forced to eat extra cereal or throw away perfectly good milk.
if i don't pour enough, i'll be forced to walk back to the kitchen to get the milk and then risk pouring too much again.

and the cycle continues...

oh, and cereal that gets soggy way too fast. like i'll pour a bowl, and the phone will ring, and 3 minutes later I come back to my breakfast and it's turned into a bowl of soggy garbage.

so basically, cereal related problems.

Ling-Ling is just eating rice, don't be an ass about it. :(

Window Curtains. I don't want to look at that mess of a place you call a house, thank you.

Wow, that was a dickish comment I just made.

God damnit! I knew I wasn't the only one who hated when I poured disproportionate amounts of milk in my cereal! Probably 5 cartons worth has gone down the sink this year...

Other people in the first world who just can't see that people starving in the third world is an issue that impacts all of us as human beings.

SERIOUSLY, that gif isn't funny or entertaining. I also find it annoying, which is rare among gif avatars.

OT: I would have to say purchasing things online. every time I have to ask my dad, so it can get a bit lengthy.

Who said it needed to be funny or entertaining? It's a pictoral representation of how I feel the vast majority of the time.

How are you guys pouring the milk that this is a problem? I've always poured the cereal first and then added the milk, which makes it pretty easy to know when to stop.

OT: The escape backspace button broke off of my laptop a few months back, and I still haven't spent the $5 to order a new one online. It gets really annoying to write papers with an escape backspace nub instead of an escape backspace button.

Edit: Initially quoted the wrong person. Sorry about that, it should be fixed now.

Edit Edit: and I wrote the wrong button name down. That may be a sign that I should go to bed soon.

I despise my internet connection with enough hate to power an infernal engine for a thousand years. When it's not going slow as hell, it's cutting out for some bullshit reason or another.

Also,
DISTRACTION :p

Religious nuts.

Yeah, my friend is a dude who likes another dude. I think if there is a god, he would just want them to be happy.

It always bothers me when I see people not finish their food. I mean come on people, if you weren't that hungry, you shouldn't have ordered so much

Sounds like somebody's fishing for things to put on Reddit.

I love how half the people in here have animated avatars. Take that, OP.

OT: When I incorrectly estimate the size of Tupperware I will need to put my leftovers in. Then I have to get a smaller one, put the leftovers in that, and now I have to wash a Tupperware container as well as the dishes.

.gifs annoy me insanely too. I image-block .gif animated avatars on every forum I visit (I still leave the ads running! The Escapist is a good home for my rants and I repay it with my advertising viewing).

There are many other things that irk me, but that one's probably one of the most 'first world blues' of them.

Being poor and unable to find a job.
People who constantly hit the 'like' button on things that I have for sale but never actually buy anything.

Perhaps the place they were eating at had dishes with too much and too little food, and they didn't want to walk away hungry.

Or perhaps they didn't know exactly how much food they were getting.

Or, perhaps they overestimated how hungry they were.

Anyway, to contribute to the thread, my hands get weird and dry sometimes and it's uncomfortable. Beat that for inconsequential issues!
