A simple question, my fellow Escapists!
After a hard day at work/school/the mineshaft which multiplayer game do you play to unwind, or indeed, get riled up?
For me, it's Team Fortress 2 and (when I had an xbox) Halo 3. Both games are light-heared and wacky enough that the atmosphere seems to be rather chilled out (note that, maybe due to having my LIVE account set to Casual, I don't run across any screamers on Halo 3), they're both games I can just jump in and play. Plus I'm mildly good at both of them, perhaps not a chart-topper, but I can at least frag my way out of a paper bag.
Games like CoD 4 and, to an extent, Left 4 Dead have always seemed much more serious, and whether or not you win or lose seems to be a lot more vitally important. This is somewhat stressful, and I like to save my stress for the single-player experience.
So! Fellow Escapists, which multiplayer games do YOU play, and just what is it about them that does it for you?
Note: Not restricted to FPSes, MMOs and everything multiplayer also count
