What's Your Multiplayer Game of Choice, and Why?

Super Smash Bros. because if I married a genre, it would be platformer, and ssbb is the only multiplayer platformer I really know of.

Until that new mario game comes out for the wii!

Super Smash Bros. is a platformer? The only game of the three that had platformer elements was Brawl, and that was only in single player. Last time I checked they were fighting games.

i like Smash Bros Brawl.
none of my friends that live near me have it, but its still fun to play basic brawl online and beat the $$@%$# out of Edgehogers and watch them quit, then the next match they get stuck with me again.

Team Fortress 2, whenever i play anything else (Halo, CoD4) it just makes me want to play TF2 more.

call of duty 4+5 are both good and i am great at them but i get to competitive and i don't play them much any more
now i mainly play TF2 because its fun and i don't get to competitive about it
others i play sometimes:
far cry 2-good on-line games but better for 1 player
bf:bc and 1943-great on-line
gears of war-don't play it much but its fun
Halo 3-good for a mess about
coj:bib-very original and fun multilayer on legends mode (where you rob banks and stuff with one team as the outlaws and one team as the law men)
left 4 dead-good coop
RE5-the multilayer coop is good and the 2v2 deathmatchs are fun to play with a friend

I love CoD4 and (to a lesser extent) WaW, but when I had it, Halo 3 was great to take a break on, due to the slightly-less-than-realistic nature of the game, plus the fact that it has an awesome level editor.
SWB2 had great multiplayer, too.

Halo 3, CoD4, Left 4 Dead, and a little bit of TF2. I used to dabble in Gears 2 online, but quickly found that 99% of the people who play it are waaaay hardcore, and constantly ***** at you for not being perfect. I still play split screen with bots though.

TF2 is a good go-to but I usually go for Warhawk.
It's a very well made game with the traditional weapons and vehicles variety but if you want to break away from that you can get in a warhawk which seems almost like a different game but it integrates perfectly into the rest of the battle.

im really enjoying Wolfensteins multiplayer. its lots of fun, it reminds me of COD5 but with supernatural powers.

People still play halo 2. The escapist recently did an article it. It was called "Want more freinds on xbox live? Stop playing Halo 2!".

Personally, I like coming home and playing left 4 dead. I got 3-4 general people that I play with and we used to always have fun...but there's just so many idiots nowadays that it's difficult. If not that, then definately TF2 or SSBB
