I guess I lean more to the Rock/Alternative genre.
My favorite band is Rise Against.
My Favorite Song is The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars.

Music taste I prefer? Erm, I don't know. I have a diverse taste. I listen to nearly every genera, shoegaze, thrash metal, IDM, stoner rock, post-rock are some. I don't care about the genera all that much though, if they are a good band making good music I will listen to them.

I have too many bands to just pick one as a favorite....

I listen to a lot of genres, but I'd say that I listen mainly to metal and jazz.
My favourite metal musicians are Children of Bodom and Sabaton, and my favourite jazz musicians are Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole.
Currently, my favourite songs are A Kiss To Build A Dream On by Louis Armstrong and Lake Bodom by Children of Bodom.

I like quite a few things. From Enter Shikari to Nightwish, from Funeral for a Friend to Killswitch Engage. And while I'm not at all knowledgeable of the subject matter, jazz and classical music. You can't beat Frank Sinatra singing 'fly me to the moon'.

Tastes are very broad. I listen to a variety of different genres. But, I have a particular aversion to modern country and a lot of 'pop'-ular music...

...but I seem mostly drawn to progressive-style music in most any flavor, be it in rock or electronica.

Favorite band would HAVE to be Pink Floyd. My top-25 on the iPod is dominated by their tracks, and the only band with more than 2-3 albums that I actually own every single one. No, really, every single one. They're that good to me.

I have a lots of favorite bands, but Space Eater holds a special place, and Blind Guardian, and I like Rob Zombie pretty much. From classic I love Bach, Wagner and operas, especcialy Verdi.

I listen to a lot of different types of music. The only types of music I don't like are Southern Rap, today's (top 40 style) Country, and metal. Primarily, I listen to lots of folk and British Rock. Wilco is my favorite band.
