Escapist haaai:D you all doing good? Great to hear.

Now, I do not believe in Horror-Scopes whatsoever, it's all silly to me.

But heck, I like being a Leo, roarh. Just a bit of harmless fun.

Thing is, I've read in a number of places about this 'polar shift' thing, and apparently our star signs have now, technically, changed.

The Proffesional Astrolger argue hat when these 12 conventional stars were introduced the earh was in a different position with respect to sun as well as moon. You may loose your orignal stars and have new one, this movement of earth created a 13th star Ophiuchus and to accomodate it in 365 days of the year tha spam of privious 12 stars have been shorten. It means as i am a taurean now i am not taurean any more, i am Aries now.Sun is constant at its position but the Earth is constantly moving around it orbit and now its in different position so the stars should change accordingly. The introduction of 13 star Ophiuchus is not new, it was also present in the findings of ancien astrologers as well as. Its sighn or animal is still not confirmed yet.To find your new star read the information below.New Dates of 13 Signs
Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16

Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11

Pisces: March 11- April 18

Aries: April 18- May 13

Taurus: May 13- June 21

Gemini: June 21- July 20

Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10

Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16

Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30

Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23

Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17

Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20
...Wow. The spelling and grammar of that guy is a beautiful sight to behold...

So what was your old star sign, and what are you now? Happy about the change...or could you not care less?

I am now a Cancer. Lion into a crab...ooohh yeeaaahh >:].

Gogogogogogoo:]

note: I'm not meaning to offend any firm Horror-Scope believers, nor do I want to start any kind of ranting about it; just a bit of harmless fun guys so let's keep this chill:]

...EDIT: Yuh, and ignore the fact that it only counts for people born >2009, eep.

Um, none, seeing as I wasn't born after 2009 (the new calendar only relates to those born after 2009).

But, if I were, I'd now be a Taurus instead of a Gemini, which is LAAAAAAAMMMMEEEE. (Don't get me wrong, Tauruses are cool, I just don't want to be one)

I was a Capricorn, now I'm apparently Sagittarius.

Seems to suit me more, but I couldn't really care less about it.

I don't care what science says I'm still a Scorpio....and if it changes (to Libra) it would mean that my tattoo design I have would be redundant!

I don't believe in horoscopes, personally, I just like the Scorpio symbol.

However, people characterise other people by their star sign, so surely that completely mucks everything up now? I mean, a "typical Gemini" is now a Taurus. Bleh.

I was a Taurus, now apparently I am an Aries. I have always consider myself a little bit of both though because I carry equal traits from both. My astrological sign really makes no difference to me whatsoever as I don't follow horoscopes or anything like that.

This.

I'd be a Pisces instead of an Aries.

If this thing applied to me, then hey! I'm finally an Aquarius for sure! I kept on switching from Aquarius and Pisces, according to multiple media sources (Newspaper said Aquarius, Reader's Digest said Pisces, TV Guide says Aquarius, etc.).

I was a Gemini, under the new dates, I'd be a Taurus. Nothing really much to say here as I don't even know the actual traits for either sign.

The articles I've read said they apply to all ages, since the calculations have been wrong since the outset, not just from 2009 onwards.

However, we work by the tropical zodiac which is based on seasons or something along that line, which means it remains unchanged. The major changes are in the eastern zodiac. Apparently all western signs remain the same..

As it is, I'm either Saggitarius or Ophiucus. One is a Centaur Archer the other is a guy wrestling a goddamn snake. Either are pretty cool, but I seem to fit the character traits of Saggitarius better.

I was born 22nd August 1990, so I was just about a Leo before (though was close to being a Virgo as I was actually born a week early). Now, I'm still a Leo, but I'm more in the 'zone' now, rather than being right on the edge of the dates...

I also just noticed I'm the only member of my immediate family to keep my original star sign. My mother was an Aquarius (26th January), she's now a Capricorn. My dad was Virgo, born on the 31st August, now he's a Leo like me. My brother was a Libra (2nd October) and is now Virgo, while my Nan, born on 13th November, used to be Scorpio but is now Libra herself. Interesting... :p

The only reason I don't object to this sudden retconning of already bullshit astrology is because Ophiuchus is a damn cool word.

I was apparently Sagitarrius before.

They weren't from the beginning, it is because of the slow, gradual shifting of the earth over the last 3000 years. The new sign, Ophiucus, is specifically for those born after 2009 in every article I've seen, and it was the adding of the sign that significantly shifted the zodiac calendar.

Astrology is also not 100% celestial based. It also pulls from the solstices and the equinoxes and other terrestial phenomena, meaning that the change is not as big until the 13th sign had to be inserted.

Pretty much everyone I know has fit into the description of their sign for as long as I've known them, regardless of whether they believed in astrology or not.
