Oh I have a few, many that have been mentioned already, common courtesy being the biggest one. I mean is it really that hard to say "please" and "thank you", to smile at other human beings from time to time rather than look on everyone else on this planet with suspicion and loathing... or at least thats the vibe your giving me. Good example is seeing how people treat checkout staff in stores and supermarkets...
Ok so maybe it bugs me personally because my first job was in thier shoes, I dealt with those jerks so I know what its like and wouldnt wish it on anyone. These people arnt shop working robots programmed to serve you, they are people and nothing gives you the right to treat them like dirt (which incidently, add anyone who thinks "the customer is always right" is something to live by and an excuse for being an asshole), they sometimes make mistakes like we all do.
Good example was back at my first job at 16, working the tills at woolworths, I was having a decent enough day, had a new starter on the till next to me so I could help her if she needed it, its nice to have someone to lean on if its your first day and all. But for her, I imagine she had the worst first day ever as this ***** gave her hell. Apparently she had been sold something the weekend before that was defective, all well and good and with a little politness we could have got it replaced or refunded her money and everyone is happy and free to go about thier lives, but no thats not gonna cut it here. She was yelling at this poor girl about how awful service was, how it was her fault, how the company was lousy and with every attempt the girl made to calm her down was met with even more aggresive behaviour, eventually I had to ring the manager down to sort it out as the poor girl was in tears and needed to go to the staff room to compose herself. I hope this customer was happy, through her bitchy mood she made an innocent girl cry on her first day of work for something she had no control over and for what? because you were accidently mis-sold something a week ago? right....
Wow I rambled on a lot more than I intended to there, still had some venting to do I guess... which reminds me before I post this just have to add that one thing that has always driven me nuts, to the point I will leave the room for fear of hitting the person responsible... noisy eaters and people who eat with thier mouthes open, god the sound makes me want to hit something and I dont want to see your food while your eating it! Where the heck did you learn your table manners!
