I think he's hilarious.

I've watched his shows and they all make me laugh.

Nothing more fantastic than watching chefs with massive ego's get smashed back to reality in floods of tears.

hes kind of a dick, but i suppose thats more of a tv persona. i definitely respect the man for his views on food around the world. for example: hes disgusted by the act of shark finning, as everyone should be.

I explained that when a season starts, the chefs are lazy and cook poor meals, so Ramsay gets furious and yells at them.
This is the part I always wondered about. Why would you stage a cooking competition show with a bunch of shitty chefs? Seems like if you had highly skilled chefs just out of culinary school, at the top of their games and striving to become better, it would be more--I don't know--worthwhile?

It just seems silly to me to throw a bunch of losers at a really, really skilled guy just so he can be constantly infuriated, but I guess that's kind of the premise that the Jerry Springer show operated on, so what do I know?

EDIT: I just thought of an idea for a show! It's called "Constantly Infuriated Guy", and he just goes around his everyday life being constantly infuriated.

Oh wait; I was beaten to that idea by Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'riley, Maddox, and 90% of all Internet critics. Bummer.

Well I actually went back and watched the very first season of Hell's Kitchen, and it was fairly different when compared to the seasons that came after it. It actually had parts where Gordon Ramsay would explain that despite yelling all he wanted to do was motivate the chefs and push them to their limit. My theory is this made him seem much too reasonable so they cut out parts like that from the following seasons.

Overall I think he's an entertaining man to watch.

I wish there were more bosses like him in the world.

Lazyness shouldn't be tolerated in the workplace.

However, the reality of it is that he is doing his job and they know what they signed up for. Nobody on any reality TV show deserves sympathy or has a right to be upset about how they are treated.

I think he's pretty funny. Granted, the only shows of his I really watch are Kitchen Nightmare's (the UK version that aired between...what, 2004 and 2006?) and Gordan Ramsay's F Word.

He is a bit of a **** but that is what it is like when you work in environments like that and unfortunately it actually prepares them to work in high end busy restaurants as they will get abuse like that.

He's made the exact same show like five times already. He's a one-trick pony, and I'm so damn tired of his shtick by now. Just toss him on the pile of reality show stars that I could care less about.

Gordon Ramsay is a clown, he swears and gets all red and angry because he thinks that's what sells the show...and he's right. Noone cares about his cooking skills or his taste, they watch him to see him erupt into a volcano of rage and generally be an asshole to people. he gets paid good money to be all angry in front of camera and the audience laugh it up so yep he's just a big silly angry (but stinking rich) clown.

There'a an art to being a foul-mouthed obnoxious brit, they aren't all born with it, even if some think they are.

Hes like Dr. House if he was a cook :)
WHAT?! No, House is acerbic, Ramsay is abrasive, there's a difference.

OT: Considering that in most restaurant kitchens, chefs are basically drill sergeants without the haircuts, Gordon Ramsay is probably no worse than any other. As a TV personality, he's OK, as a chef, he's OK, as a person, good god, is he butt ugly...

You have to watch some of his other shows not the trash fox puts on. Fox seems to think people watch it for the shouting and drama but I much prefer the cooking aspects when they bother to talk about them. Gordon Ramsey is not just a good cook but also an entertainer and he entertains by assuming this persona of a bully more or less.

He's fun to watch for the drama. For the actual cooking i'll watch Masterchef Australia, which not only has people who can cook, but who also are not drama-llamas kept in only for viewernumbers. Imagine that.

I thin that Gordon Ramsay's shows would be better if they were hosted by Gordon Freeman.

His wordless stare would make more comment on their cooking than a million fucks, shits and cocks from Ramsay.

He's good most of it is a tv person though, he's alot more relaxed on the other show the F word, but kitchens are a stressful place, alot of the other tv chefs that come from restaurant backgrounds are pretty tough too. Kitchen Nightmares is awesome tv though.
