What's your "pet" game?

I think you all know and have your own personal pet game. It's that one game where despite all flaws, which might be prominent in many places, you for some reason love. You'll bring it up in game discussions fully aware few if anyone there's played it and you'll always hold out for the sequel that will almost surely never be.

What's yours?

And if you had to guess: Why that game in particular?

Fallout 3

It's the one I always go back to, even after 400+ hours. Just love existing in it.

Red Orchestra.
Hard as balls, totally unforgiving, game design that pretty much requires camping, but offers an fps experience like none other.
Found out there will be a sequel based on the Unreal 3 engine sometime in mid 2011 and I am psyched. Wonder if my Iphone will play it...

X-Com: Enemy Unknown (Ufo defense in U.S.A., i think)

I still often say that it is the best game ever made. (Even though i really know it is not).

But my mix of nostalgia and respect for a REALLY well-crafted game push me to say it.

Really one of the most atmospheric, high-tension games ever. Great rules, diverse modes (base-building/ressource management and turn-based tactic) and great descriptive texts and graphics. And that all when i was a kid just on my way becoming a gamer.

I still play it these days sometimes...

Bioshock.

I notice something new each time I play, be a symbol I missed or just one of those 'moments'. I just can't stop going back to it!

Also We Love Katamari. But mom sold my PS2, so I can't play it except at my boyfriends house. >_<

Black & White 2 - I love my Wolf. Even if he is a bit naughty at times but villagers are quite tasty.

I like the original Black and white, although I seem to have screwed myself over in the story mode when destroying one of the villages holding my creature in stone through the enemy gods power, now I can't build there anymore as he just trashes anything I build.

Castlevania 64
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Vandal Hearts 2

All three of these games range from generally disliked to hated and all three are thought to have "ruined the series" by certain people. Yet I prefer these games over any others in their respective series' and even place Vandal Hearts 2 in my top 10 of all time.

Final Fantasy X
It was the first game that I bought by myself. It had gorgeous cut scenes. The last game I had played before it was Zelda: Ocarina of Time, so that seemed important at the time. Also, my brother deemed it "gay" so I was able to play it without having to give up the controller.
However, I spent a shameful amount of time playing X-2 as well, for similar reasons.
