What's your reaction time like? Do players who favor first person shooters have the fastest times?

I actually sucked I think, 0.24 or something? ...but I just woke up so that shall be my excuse of choice!

EDIT: Oh and for the games bit I guess I play RPGs the most, never FPSs really. Though I play drums so my hitting speed for cheating was quite good! Woo!

On the traffic light I averaged 0.2158 And nothing there went over 0.23 with my lowest being 0.204

On the other test I averaged 0.209 however I had a big fluke that made my time 0.253. Rest was around 0.2 with the lowest being 0.189.

I used to play UT2004 (twitch shooter) and in real life I also did stuff that improved my reaction time. So I'm pretty sure that I would've been faster back then.

But it seems I still have a decent reaction time

After 3 tries, i got an average of .21
Seems good enough. I'm not sure about the FPS part of it, i do play a bit of those, but I'm no multiplayer overlord or such. BF2 is the most i play, and that's a total of 120 hours or so. Don't think i could have gotten better reflexes from doing that.

EDIT: Tried the other link, after a few tries got an average of 0.192, quite proud of it.

0.265, I play shooters more than anything but I play a lot of RPGs as well. Also I am very tired at the moment because I stayed up till a stupid time last night talking to a friend on MSN. Maybe that has influenced it.

Curiously enough, the human reaction time is somewhere between 0.2 seconds and 0.4. Going below 0.2 is pretty much impossible without "cheating", so you should all be proud that your reflexes are well-honed.

Aside from World of Warcraft, all I really play are First Person Shooters.
I doubt people who prefer FPS's have better reaction times though.

I got a .303, .17, 3.4, .192, and .195

I'm semi drunk and was in class for 6 hours today and then at work for 8 hours...that might explain the 3.4.

Edit: I play everything, but right now it is mostly RPGs.

I'm pretty awesome but I generally stick to single-player games so why compare myself to the likes of you when I can fuck up the bots ?

I play pretty much anything but I do consider my self a counterstrike player, mind you reactions are important in CS but no where near as important as accuracy so..

I enjoy the occasional FPS, but I would not say it is my favorite genre.

I laugh at the notion of reaction time being important in COD.

Whoever is the host has the fastest reaction time...
