I haven't read book 12 yet, how much of it is taken up by Egwene basically dicking around in Mary Sue mode and nobody accomplishing anything?
Yeah, they finally get that resolved. Although she spends about half of it in a cell, but whatever.

I liked the first few books (6 or 7), but it really started to get drawn out by about the 5th. Well, for me it did. Reading about those girls was generally boring. I remember there was like an entire chapter on them getting ready for bed and brushing their hair for 100 strokes or some crap. I don't even know how I remember that, unless because it was one of the most boring moments of a book I've ever read.

Actually, book 12 is probably one of the most exciting, and Egwene actually does a lot of ass-kicking. I found myself looking forward to reading more of the Egwene story in number 12 for a change.

On another note: say anything slanderous about the series again and I will send a team of pirates to pillage your home.

Well there was news about a year ago that a film was being made of the first one since universal bought the rights but i haven't heard anything since. I think a 2 film release of the first one would work as long as the films are about 3 hours each.

And not yet done. I for one eagerly await the day i can descend on my local waterstones with rabid glee to pick up book 13.

Not looking forward ot the tv series as much. Even if it based only on "The Eye of the World" there is just far to much that could go wrong and ruin it.
The mmo on the other hand i want just as long there is both a "sniff" and a "tug braid" emote lol
How about a "roll eyes" and "macho posturing" emote?

Anyway, WoT would probably suffer some serious adaptation decay. I can guarantee they'd get Mat wrong, and then I'd have to murder them.
Only Matt? With how conservative the US is i don't see any way they'll ever do the whole "Hey i'm married to three beautiful young women oh and btw when i sleep with one of them her guardian gets hot and bothered too."

But you never know it oucld be so bad Robert Jordan rises from the grave to bitchslap the producers with a copy of all the books in hardback:p

A movie is supposed to be in the works along side a comic book series and a mmorpg

well i wish they would make a movie-im still on chapter 8 and it does drag on a lil bit :S if i could watch the movie it would shorten the time to 4 or 5 hours and not 4 or 5 months to finish reading it really-perhaps my life is too busy for a series??? i do like it though i get all excited to read it then it drags and i fall asleep :p

I agree with what a lot of posters already said, it's too long for a movie and they wouldn't do it justice. Mind you I didn't read all of the books either, I'm somewhere on book 7 or 8 (can't remember at the moment) and I like the series up until this point, but right now it feels like threading through waist-deep mud. If I skip any of the boring chapters it would feel like cheating and I would be certain I missed something important so me and the series are on permanent hiatus unless I muster the willpower(or get bored enough) to have another go at it.
