...what do you feel it should be measured by?

Personally, I believe that it is what one decides to do with their talents and knowledge/significance of the actions of a person, and how it benefits the lives of people who deserve and require positive change. In addition to this, I feel that how one betters society, or the lives of people should be held under heavy consideration as well.

EDIT: I'm not saying that a person's worth should be measured by this alone, if at all, and consider one's capacity to be amiable or of moral integrity a betterment of society. I guess by "talent" I mean one's ability to further our knowledge of ourselves and the world around us, and by "positive change in the lives of other people", I mean selfless action for the sole purpose of increasing another's quality of life.

Can worth as a person be measured? I don't like the idea of someone being better than someone else based on their 'talents', as many people aren't talented at anything, but they work extremly hard in their line of work ( perhaps not something they planned to do with their life) to earn a wage to support themselves. Does that make them any better than someone who's more intelligent, perhaps in a more academically challenging job when they aren't capable of it? If worth should be measured, it should be measured on kindness, hard work and manners.

Morality and values for me. Then again, I'm friends with just about anyone, except blatant racists like my cousin who seem to believe all Germans are still Nazis, and that all Polish are "stealing" his jobs or whatever. If I were to explain the kind of people I get on with it would take an entire forum-page to clear up.

If people are intelligent or talented, that's just a bonus for me, I don't really care. I know plenty of...less intelligent people? Some of them are the nicest people I've ever met. You don't have to be smart to be worth something.
