When did you first jump?

Heart of Darkness [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_Darkness_(game)] I was 9 at the time and it was the first platformer I played. Great game, highly recommend it.

First time I remember jumping in a game was Super Mario Brothers, I think it was about 1990. We were snowed in at a friend of my mother's, and they had a 25 inch TV (absolutely huge at the time) with an NES and Super Mario Brothers and Metroid. Hitting that first question block and that first goomba still sticks in my head.

My first jump, was on the very first sonic the hedgehog in 1990, that was wired into the Master System 2.

one of the first jumps ever for me was in Red Baron 3d when i was 4 or 5. my day has bought the game and showed it to me.

of course it was a flight simulator and i was young, so i spent most of my time jumping out of the plane.
