I gave on it about 7 months ago (2 months before I got it). It's good for collecting dust and I guess as a backup system. But it's nice as a table since I put my Wii on top of it since it is my primary system.

I never really got the outrage about the Red ringing. "Honoes! Those greedy microsoft bastards, fixing my expensive console for free and extending my warranty beyond the projected year!"

3 years ago when it broke.

I really have lost patience for modern companies.
Forgive me for pointing out the obvious flaw in your statement but would you rather get a console from an older company like Standard Oil?

Why would I give up on my 360? You realize those greedy guys at MS extended the warranty to 3 years and will pick up, service, mail back your 360 for free and give you a free month of xboxlive gold right? They may have screwed their hardware but they've made up with service.

Then again I've got more old consoles than I care to name so maybe I'm just stubborn.

Not yet, but I'm on my second one, the first one developed disk reading issues. If this one dies, I will be giving up on it.

Been through 4(!) gfx cards(overheating my ass, 35c isn't HOT goddamn it!), two external harddrives, two internal ones and 1 PSU in less than three years. Not to mention dodgy performance and the mandatory upgrades every second year so that new (and mostly; shit) games can run relativly smooth.

Maybe it's just me having bad luck, but if I would get a RROD on my Xbox, it would be cheaper than what my PC would cost me! Anyway, I only play Oblivion/Fallout 3 on PC, and an odd session of Civilization 4, and you don't need a spaceshipcomputer2k for that.

Never gonna give it up... Never gonna let it down..

But in all honesty, I don't own a 360...

But I sure would love to.

I've had my 360 since launch, and I've never had a major problem. Sure, it's frozen a few times, but so does the PS3.
I love it to pieces, and will never buy another console.

I'm on my 3rd xbox and only 1 of my friends still has a working original xbox.

I now tend to play on the PS3, it has better games now and just gives a better experience but at lower cost.

I doubt i'll get the next xbox, i think i'll stick to the playstation

Nope, I doubt I'll give up anytime on my 360. Sure it's broken a couple times, but I find it's a great system still.

In the space of three days my brothers 360 red-ringed while mine spontaneously decided to no longer accept any form of disc. It was my second. Has anyone else reached a point where they have given Microsoft the metaphorical two fingers and given up, if so, what caused it?
Funny you should say.
I reached that point just today.
But what has got me really jaded.
I have a fair amount of games accumulated.
So that would mean I could never again play through,
Call of duty 4 or Half-Life 2.
I might buy a new one just in case.
To enjoy the new Bioware adventures in space.
