I usually don't disable accounts. I probably should for the sake of security (in the event that one account gets hacked and hacker ends up with my passwrod)

My account will be forever in limbo, never to see the light of [true] activity ever again... It may wish for a good, clean death from it's "master controller"... but, I do not give it the satisfaction...

I regret nothing afterwards...

...What's that? The account is linked to my [super personal shit] that could ruin me forever if it fell into the wrong hand??

*bang bang*

It's now dead... No regrets... No looking back...

If I dislike a community or company because of major changes, I will delete an account. HuffingtonPost and their Facebook policy comes to mind. I felt offended and there was no loss deleting it. I've also deleted accounts when people traced them back to the real me. I am from the anonymous era of Internet usage and I wish to stay that way.

Honestly, I had never one delete/ deactiviated my account, I pretty much leave them be but in saying so the stuff I had signed up with are not personal per say (not Twitter, Myspace or anything related to social media sites).

When I have been forced to make it by some Google bullshit and I never wanted it in the first place.

I rarely delete accounts, but G+ can go to hell.

I don't like the idea that my online persona remains in wait, leading a passive existence beyond my own. Burn the ships if you're not gonna use them anymore. Plus it might get hacked if you don't.

This reminds me of my Deviantart acount, abadoned it a few years ago and it's still there. Appearantly only 2 people on my friends list cared about it.

Well...I deleted one when I got a random guy sending my poetry and love letters over it. Otherwise I ditch the account for good if it actually has personal information on it (the vast majority don't anyway). You should delete them if use same password and name you have for other things. I know I have some floating around that I probably should have deleted for that reason.

Captcha has outright adds in it now? bleh
