In Edmonton, Alberta, there is no spring.

There is only Winter and Construction.

It's definitely started here in the North of England. There are plenty of sunbeams for the cats to bathe in and the daffodils are out. It's been a bit late this year but it arrived finally :D

So far it's only snowed in my city on my birthday this year (Feb 13th) *blinks* thanks ice king...:p

I'm in Wales. We don't have the normal seasons, we have variants of wet autumn. We have cold rainy season, warm rainy season, hot rainy season and rainy season.

I live in the north-west part of Sweden. It still snows sometimes, but most of it has melted away by now.
Around here, spring starts when you can go outside without freezing your nose off. Well, not really, but around may when green things start to pop up.

(It's still damn cold, though)

well here in southern Ontario spring weather is most of the time official around half way through april, though 2 weeks ago we got snow, but it melted the next day. as for being able to plant things in your garden its "May24" or middle of May since we can still get the deadly frost. as a gardener, Ontario sucks because you literally only have 3 months to do anything within the entire year. spend it wisely.

i wonder if you can plant anything anytime in the warmer climates. im guessing you can.

When I sees flowers and Sun. And hear bees. Then it's Spring. It can rain and snow later all it wants but spring is here.

It began officially back in March, but around here it's been zipping back and forth from 80 in the day, to 30 at night.

I miss my winter...
We're going from snow storms to 80 degree days in the same week. It's...Confusing.

Used to live in Saskatoon, but now I'm in northern Alberta. And ya this season is definitely frustrating, with a blizzard in the last week of April and -10 (with wind chill) to boot. Come on just be summer already.

When my car turned from tan to green from a dense layer of grass pollen. Back to covering it - that green crap tends to stick.

In Blighty, it's when a glimpse of sun peeks through the clouds, usually around early May. This, combined with a very slight upwards shift in temperature, causes people of all shapes, sizes and ages to shed their clothes turning the country into sea of wobbly white (soon to be bright pink) legs, bellies and arms.

If you're lucky enough to escape the metropolis, you can witness other tell-tale signs of Spring, such as over-60's driving 40mph down main roads with the roofs down on their soft-top cars, and farmers taking to their fields in gargantuan machinery which smears the countryside in animal shit.

Then a week later it fucks off and it's back to perpetual Autumn.

It started for me like two weeks ago, when snow stopped and the temperatures went from below freezing. Now we have a different problem: The temperature saw fit to jump straight to summer ones, after three days of spring weather.

Here in Montreal Spring starts in February, snow's been melting since then. Summer started a few weeks ago since I don't need my winter coat (a New Zealand All Blacks sweater) to barbeque.

I'm the second swede in this thread, but I'm from farther south than my viking kin. Spring started (for real) here about a week and a half ago. There are still piles of snow in places, but after 5,5 months of winter, the weather has softened and all is well! Mostly. The melting snow has caused local flooding, for instance.

In Saskatoon we had one day of 16 degrees, then right back to negatives. All the snow melted but it's still fucking cold so I don't even know anymore.

Spring is oddly delayed here in Oslo, Norway. Just began somewhat a week ago. I define it loosly on when i can change from my winter jacket to my summer jacket, and not wear gloves. Still in the winter jacket atm, but have dropped the gloves. Still chilly though.

Anyway, compared to last year, when i could wear just a t-shirt in march (at a good day), we have yet to get that kind of weather this year. Hopefully that means summer wont be over in june, like the last couple of years.

As someone who lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I feel your pain bro. :( We're in this together *bro hug?*

Personally I think this is punishment for the rather mild winters we've had for the past few years >>

I consider the spring to start when it's warm enough for me to start wearing my spring coat and fedora, and no gloves.

Back when I was in kindergarten when we were allowed to go outside without gloves was when spring began for me.

I live in the Yukon, so typically Spring happens when the snow melts; pretty much the same for you guys down in Saskatchewan. Also, the leaves on the trees have to sprout...and then it just has to stop snowing for the rest of the spring/summer/fall.

It's been spring for a while here in Elk Grove, California and it's getting pretty close to Summer.

Here we don't really have Winter. It's a bit more like Cold Autumn.

Edmontonian here, it was summer a week ago, then for the past 3 days it?s been winter, today and tomorrow should be spring.

To explain, for the past 3 days it?s been -10, a week ago, it was up to +15-20, and for the next few days it should be around 0. (All in Celsius)

Seriously fuck edmonton.
