When Evil is Cooler than Good?

What is your favorite example of this in gaming? I would personally have to say in Killzone 2. The Helghast are so much better than the ISA. Except maybe on multiplayer, because their goggles are as obvious as headlights on a big rig.

Enclave? I always thought the Enclaves armor just looks fucking stupid, except the Hellfire Helmet.

Evil is cooler than Good whenever the protagonist comes off as a whiny little snot or when the writing in general is very poor. The happens in every media, be it book, comic, movie, TV show, or game. It's far easier to write an interesting or cool antagonist, but far harder to write about a protagonist that isn't some Joseph Campbell hero template.

But you get black lightning too! and you gotta admit black people are cooler than white people lightning is fucking badass.

Anyways OT my main issue with being evil in games is that when you're evil it usually plays off of the "you are acting in an evil way under instruction of (insert big bad guy here)" and then eventually you kill and usurp them as big evil prick of the land. Or at very least you're doing quests/missions for people that want you to be a dick for no reason. If I play evil it's because I want to be a selfish dildo and do what I want to do. It's not because I want to take orders from the bad guy. At that point you might as well do stuff for the goody two shoes pussies because there's no point if you're going to be somebody's ***** anyways. So really any game that doesn't do that.
