Just when you believe the Internet has thrown you everything imaginable in terms of absolute mind baffling "WTF" moments that nothing can leave you speechless. It manages to salvage one more shocker, in this case, in the form of fan obsession. Now this is a relatively old article and content, although it is still all the more amusing to skim through considering it makes Twilight and Bieber fans appear normal. This particular individual believes she is legitimately married to Sephiroth... and not only that, she has met him on numerous occasions through astral projection and that his portrayal in FFVII is inaccurate. No... I am not making this up.

Initially, I believe it was a mock troll however... a legion of sources would site otherwise. Look for yourselves. I just... cannot fathom the human mind and had to make mention of this subsequent to my brain exploding in disbelief someone could be this insane.

http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Sephirothslave

The fanfic is all the more frightening if you fancy FFVII in any capacity as the characters as a whole are destroyed. Nonetheless, this is either one of the most successful trolls I have every witnessed or... wow sums it up.

I can't look inside that link because

1) I'm on a laptop that I got from school
2) It's Encyclopedia Dramatica, and I had REALLY bad experiences from that site in the past involving Rule 34 and a favorite animated TV show of mine.

Whatever it is, I can assure you that you'll find a choke-full more of that stuff on fanfiction.net.

I don't even... How does... Why would...
Exactly this.
I used to amuse myself when I was a grungy teenager (referring to my metal-core days as they were) by reading what fanfics people used to write about Hanson/Backstreet Boys/Nsync and so on. This is just as bewildering as that, and leaves me going "...Really?"

I think it's funny how she uses the words "evidence" and "astral projection" in the same sentence.

Yeah...

*starts writing fanfics about Pokemon*

OT: Some people think Avatar is real. Some people think Dragon Ball Z is real. I think fiction is fiction and that these people have devoted themselves to a false reality they can never capture nor live in. This article screams of trolling but if she does legitimately believe this...

Wow...

Oh Dear.

See... this is why I hate fanfiction.
See, that is the frightening thing about it. While there is a fanfiction, the girl actually believes she has met Sephiroth. What I found hilarious is her delusion went far enough that she claims Square's portrayal of the character they created is inaccurate, xD.

Ah, and yes reading these things are amusing. More or less why I posted it here. Comments are always fun. :D

Wow, I have read some bad fanfics, but that takes the cake.

Try "My Immortal." It's too horrendous to post a link.

Either that or I'm just lazy.

You're right. The fact that somebody believes this is the scariest part. I do wonder if any of her fellow fangirls actually believe her. It's a very frightening prospect.

People like this would have been committed years ago. Instead, they get anon journals with which to voice their dillusions so nobody can find them and nobody can make them get help. I refuse to believe her psychiatrist condoned this. No psychiatrist would suggest Astral Projection. Unless... you know... the psychiatrist is also crazy. And that wouldn't be fun, would it?

You leave that fantastic piece of ART out of this.

Ok... couldn't type that with a straight face. What I should be saying is,

"You don't even mention that piece of (expletive deleted). It isn't worth spreading."

Not that the entire internet doesn't already know about it. I'm convinced it's one of the most successful trolling attempts in history.

Ah, yes, My Immortal. I have heard of it and do intend to give the 'beauty' a full on read for one reason. TVtropes developed a drinking game attached to My Immortal, albeit most people substitute something else in lieu of alcohol. Even with what one would consider nothing worthy of concern, such as Pepsi or water, you can only take sips. If you did attempt it with alcohol, you would dead by the second paragraph. I did a test, the first paragraph 0 which is less than two hundred words - would require twenty shots. :p

If you dare, here are the rules for that game. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/DrinkingGame/MyImmortal

Oh dear. If that wasn't designed for the sole purpose of giving everybody who plays it liver failure, I don't know what was...
Lucky I'm a methyphobe. Mind you... it's possible to drink too much water, right? Damn... that game will kill EVERYBODY.

The idea is to follow one rule and take sips... granted even just using how often she misspells "Ebony" might be enough to kill you. If you scroll down people have posted the after effects of their attempts. No one has died yet, xD
