Do you have a picture of her father from behind because now all I can picture is him in the family attire.
Charging into battle, both buttcheeks on display, waving a banner with "Real warriors put their ass on the line!" written on it being the family motto or something.

Above mental imagery aside, yeah.
I prefer practical armour on warriors personally.
Doesn't faze me when the costumes you'd call fanservice attires are on mages or sorcerers.
Even some of the more lightly armoured classes can get away with it too.
Both of their primary methods of damage mitigation are different from that of a standard warrior who just takes that hit and shrugs it off.
When you're a front line warrior though, it just looks a little silly.
Barbarians are an exception to this.
Ragtag armour and loinclothed warriors are a tradition among that class type.
