in Zelda: Twilight Princess...when you get cannonballed up over to the desert level...instead of going right towards a small house i went left to the big castle/pyramid where the level and baddies were...

i finished the level...everything is awesome...

turns out i have to go back there...but they wont canonball me again!!

Supposedly i was just meant to know to go over to the small house where there would be a battle with shadow monsters to open a portal to the area...

broken game...

i aint playing the whole thing over

rage quit...never touched the game since...which is a shame...because i liked it

Trying to 1 credit clear the bullet hell shmup dodonpachi, fighting the last boss only to lose my last life when the boss has a pixel left on its healthbar.

That was quite maddening as it took me a month to get that far and would be another 1 or 2 before I finally did beat the damn thing. :D

Still its all part of the fun of gaming, whats not so fun is raging because the game is broken or buggy in some way. For example spending weeks playing Baulders Gate 1 and exp pack on PC, finishing all the side quests before moving on to finish the main quest. Only to come across a bug in the game which crashed my game so I had to give up playing due to the fact I wasnt online at the time toi access the patch

I went on a pretty bad losing streak in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a few weeks ago while hanging out with my friends. Losing is one thing, but I was losing to people I should have been destroying.

It was rather embarrassing in retrospect (my anger, not the losses).

Trying to get "Diamond in the Rough" on Guitar Hero Van Halen made me want to snap my controller. For those who don't know, you have to get 5 stars on every Van Halen song on the disk. On the microphone. On EXPERT! And its damn hard, as the guitar hero engine is MUCH stricter than the rock band one. I mean, I am a pretty good vocalist, as I can 5-star many hard rock band songs with no problem. Painkiller, Panic Attack, Long Time, even Beast and the Harlot and through the fire and flames, but on guitar hero I'm lucky if I get 3 stars on most expert songs. Finally got it though, after trying off and on for over ten months I managed to abuse the freeform sections enough to get 5 stars on the remaining songs. Haven't touched the disk since though.

Oh, and then there was Everquest. That game was responsible for so many emotional outbursts when I was younger as every time you died, you lost experience. This could mean that you would lose hours or days of work for a small mistake. I suppose that was left over from the original design, which was conceived as pay-per-hour rather than pay-per month. But it was still a dick move in my opinion.

TF2 and CS: Source. For some reason, I have a ridiculously hard time connecting to servers on both games. It's infuriating.

That sounds like a completely legitimate reason to be ticked off - I'm surprised people jumped down your throat about it.
Maybe how I phrased? I dunno, it still baffles me to this day.

Awww Welcome! I've never played FF10 so I can't feel your pain. However, I can say that Ninja Gaiden and Battletoad are the reasons why my NES doesn't exist anymore.

Dead or Alive 4....
I was an SS rank in DoA Ultimate, not exactly special but still, I didn't suck at the game. I get DoA4 and first go to story mode to unlock some costumes etc. The first thing I noticed is about round 5 the AI was getting 12 hit combo's on me that was taking half my health away from me in a couple seconds. I go the options menu to see if I had accidentally changed the difficulty to very hard. Nope, it was still on "normal" the easiest difficulty in the game.

I get a couple costume unlocks from characters I was already used to, and having already looked at the achievements, I knew I would have to complete the story campaign for ever character multiple times to go get all costumes for an achievement.

I started playing Kasumi's campaign struggled through the story a couple times. (It's only 8 round for each campaign.) And then, I noticed that Kasumi and all the other female characters in the game had 6-12 costumes per character (Half the cast is female.) I detest playing the female characters because they are clunky, over used, cheap, and weak to boot.

I still have not this achievement in the 4 years I have gotten the game.

(Seriously fuck the Kasumi clone at the end, and the developers with a 12ft rusty spear.)
They only have at max 5 you have to unlock. I will agree female characters are over used but I don't how they are cheap. A bit high speed maybe but then so is Jann Lee and Hyabusa. I suppose if that is how you think I can't really change your mind as I detest playing most of the male characters as they are too slow and heavy handed but yes the boss is annoying.

OT: Playing CoD WaW on veteran and feeling that I had a giant nade magnet stuck to my chest and getting blown up every 2 mins.
Kasumi has 7 Costumes - Hayabusa has 4 Costumes - Kokoro has 7 Costumes - Hitomi has 8 Costumes - Brad Wong has 3 Costumes - Elliot has 4 Costumes - Bass has 4 Costumes - Zack has 4 Costumes - Jann Lee has 4 Costumes - Lei Fang has 7 Costumes - Tina has 5 Costumes - La Mariposa/Lisa has 5 Costumes - Bayman has 3 Costumes - Christie has 4 Costumes - Ayane has 6 Costumes - Hayate has 4 Costumes - Helena has 5 Costumes - Ein has 4 Costumes - Gen Fu has 4 Costumes - Leon has 4 Costumes - Tengu has 2 Costumes - Spartan-458 has 7 Costumes

Yeah, I know I said 6-12, because thats why it feels like. Hitomi has the most at 8...

The end of Baldur's Gate 1, because it was so mercilessly difficult and was basically only winnable by spamming literally dozens of monsters / animals / other summoned things in Sarevok et al's face and waiting for the 20s to roll or for you to have to start again. Eugh.

That Homeworld Cataclysm mission with the cruise missiles and the refugee ships also made me rage out a little bit, as did the bugginess of Empire: Total War upon release, and the disappointment I felt with Ground Control 2, but BG1's ending takes the biscuit.

*edit*

Oh and that bit in Freelancer where you have to swap your quite excellent ship with a 5/1 combo or whatever it was for some overpriced Brettonian trash to stop getting completely mauled by bounty hunters every time you deign to leave a station to earn enough money to advance the two levels arbitrarily needed to carry on with the story.

definitely Modnation Racers. Trying to get any achievement (or whatever they are called in that game) is an exercise in extreme patience, which I failed and took out on my controller. Ever. Single. Time. Between that and the original load times I put it away and haven't touched it since. Too much rage.
