Lots of things, but nothing more than...

"I should of done that"

Really? Should "of"? That's just... It doesn't even... Ugh.

That on bugs me for what it would mean. Regardless is what you say when someone says something that doesn't need to be regarded. irredardless would mean it's something that does need to be regarded.

OT: Could care less. If you could care less then you do care.

Well, that's unfair... "should've" will come out very similar to "should of" (unless diction was very clear, in which case, they're just dumb). Written, however, yeah, that's cringeworthy.

OT: This is generally confined to work, but 'why do/does...?' is the start to what will inevitably set my teeth on edge and these questions, as far as my questionable hearing is concerned, are never directed towards anyone else but me. I'M FUCKING BUSY OVER HERE TRYING TO TIDY UP YOUR FUCK-UPS!!

Wasn't the same thread posted a few days back?

Probably when parents use the old "If [insert friend name] jumped off a bridge, would you?" in completely irrelevant and incomparable situations.

Thankfully, I've developed an immunity to that and the most I do is think 'good grief, how barbaric!' and read on. Perhaps this has come from months of reading posts by [user]Vault101[/user], god bless her she's got character, but her spellchecker was obviously sacrificed for it.[footnote]Vault, no offence, I love you really... not creepy at all... -_-[/footnote]

Captcha: stool pigeon? Ew.
Why?

When people say poisonous when what they really mean is venomous.

There have just been so many times I have been wandering around a few gallery sites, just looking at the random assortment of pictures and the other tabs they connect to. When what to my wandering eyes do appear, but one that says something along the lines of Top Ten Most Poisonous Animals, and the image they use to catch your attention is a king cobra. That irks me, but what is worse is when someone says the same thing in public. In my opinion these people need to be taught the difference between just what is poisonous and what is venomous, with a demonstration using their bodies.

So much this. I loathe it when I hear someone say that.

50 seconds in.

Big fan of that video.

OP is asking for it
Everybody so far has gone with the flow and jumped on with stuff that annoys them, which is good - my first thought on reading the OP was that it would devolve into an argument about his example, glad to see it's not the case.

Anyway, as for me...

When people say England when they mean Britain, or Britain when they mean England, it really, really grips me - It's so bloody irritating. I appreciate that people may not understand the complex relationship between the home nations, and it probably shouldn't annoy me as much as it does... but there ya go.

So much win in that video. As an American I got a kick out of it! Now if you can just hold down the fort, I'm gonna go browse some other forums.

The word hate. Recently on the internet, if anything isn't exactly how someone wants it to be, they "hate" it. And it's so damn childish.

Anything a long the lines of: "and this ladies and gentlemen..."

It's normally followed by the perpetrator's opinion, and it just makes them seem so pretentious and smug.

There was an english teacher at my high school who said that "word' in front of his AP class, they never let him forget it
It is a word and has been since the 1920s according to this

Hey! Hey! This is such a good part!
There is a special place in Hell reserved for those people. If there isn't, there should be.
Related to that is also people who get up and jump around in a movie theater.

"What, I'm not allowed to have my opinion?" I didn't say that. I just said that I disagree with you and that your opinion isn't intelligent. There is a difference.

It really annoys me when people say "THIS!" or "this! a thousand times this!" or just "this" when quoting a comment. It doesn't add anything to the conversation. It's almost as excruciating as an "internet high five" or when people talk about "Internets" as if it's some sort of commodity.

Literally! I literally lose respect for people who misuse that word. That's how it should be used. I figuratively die a little inside when people don't know how to use a dictionary to learn the definition of the words they use.

You bastard.
Reminded me of almost everytime I'm on the bus. You see I have very long legs and the seats are way too compact, so I like to sit diagonal on them. I like to be polite and let anyone that needs a seat take mine but when they ask, "mind if I sit here?" and see me scrunching up my knees against my chest to make room for them, it should be obvious that I do.

Beat me to it. But seriously, why did it take so long for someone to point out the misuse of "literally"? I thought the internet was the hivemind of literally-misuser-hatred?
