Too many instances to nail one down at the moment. The internet and real-life have pretty much fused... so much so that I have to stop and take a deep breath and focus my concentration to notice when people say things like "BRB" and "WTF"....
Yikes, there was someone doing this on XBL voice the other night. Threw my entire game off. I've never heard of words like "ell-oh-ell" and "jay-kay" before, but this person was dropping them like f-bombs. Except, you know, more offensive than that.

That one scares me. Acronyms shouldn't work like that...

---

I do the obvious thing is obvious one sometimes when talking.
A lady at work has an annoying habit of quoting lines from "Charlie bit me" at the most random and inappropriate moments...and she doesn't even use the internet.

Oh god, in school me and my friend talk about games non-stop, in one lesson we had to present a PowerPoint and he did it about video games, the rest of our group just thought it was stupid, we're friends, but they just find it nerdy. They like games, we love them. We've been talking about Red Dead Undead Nightmare, Left 4 Dead dlc and other gaming stuff all day lol.

Simple thread is simple:
Post examples of you and/or friends demonstrating what massive nerds you are in the outside world.
My own? Yesterday in my lecture, my friend drew a triforce on his arm...then took my hand and drew a deliberately incorrect one on the back of it. I had to laugh just because of his skillful trolling.
Your turn go.
When I leave work, I sometimes say I have to go suit up and destroy the zerg. :O
Hah! Awesome ^^
Edit:I didn't know you were a moderator now D: Congrats :)

The guy who gave my high schools graduation speech slipped an "It's over Nine thousand!" joke in there. It was epic to say the least.

Personally I use internet abbreviations in regular speech all the time. (Like brb, afk, lol etc.) I'm sure I throw in more memes than I like to admit as well xD

In highschool, I used to draw the Oblivion symbol and the Assassin's symbol from Assassin's Creed on my books. I even drew them on my arms a few times.

I knew the internet had leaked into real life though when I started writing TV Tropes style WikiWords in my books. That's right; I was writing words together in ink on paper as if they would actually link me to a different page if someone clicked them.

...I hadn't gotten much sleep that day.

Aside from that, I've totally found myself wishing for a scroll bar or a search feature when studying my university course notes...

Most of the time, me and my friends just say whatever meme fits the situation.

Although once, in class all of us were sitting still and doing what we were supposed to do, when suddenly my (anonymous) friend shouts out "KOBOLD!", and we all start saying "Kobold" until the teacher shuts us up and half of the class are lying breathless on the floor from laughing at us.

Also. You, good sir/madam are mistaken. It's 19+4.

16+4 That means I SCORE!... unforgotten realms.
I might have a slight issue with Unforgotten Realms addiction. -.-
I have to watch em all again :D And me and my friend spent a whole day only saying KOBOLD! but he went to a different school :(

Literally all the time. This morning, we started randomly singing Bed Intruder, and the Keyboard Kid songs. Then I mentioned the latest AVGN episode, then some facebook event someone was having (Hug a Debator Day). Yeah. This was a weird day.

This year of uni I'm doing the SF course

My first seminar on Monday was filled with sixteen people making internet references, including the seminar tutor.

It was kind of a litmus test for some fo them. The ones who only made the 'Cake is a lie' references are the SF newbies who don't know anythign besides the classics, people demanding you do soemthing because of the Ocelot God have clearly spent some time on the Escapist, and there were another couple of obscure ones people brought up.

I think the entire seminar might actually have been composed from quotes from various media, in retrospect.

Sounds like Life Hacks. Things you can do to make life easier or something. Like uh, if you ever had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or wake up in the middle of the night and turn on the lights. You get blinded for a couple of seconds till your eyes adjust. Then when you go to turn off the lights, you are blinded by darkness. Well, if you close one eye before you turn on the lights, do your thing, then turn off the lights, open the closed eye. The one that was closed should already be adjusted to the darkness so you should see better. It is why pirates wear eye patches so they can go light to dark faster.

Just various memes really.
I hear you here, man. My friends and I can have whole conversations just by spouting various memes and jokes. It freaks the normal people out.
This right here.

"So he said ______ was like _______!"
"herp derp"
"it's liek a mudkipz"
"I suppose as ramirez, DO EVERYTHING"
"Over 9000 times?"
"To the rule of 34"
Pretty much this, but with the inclusion of this:

Me and my friend tend to just spit out random memes.

And sometimes we manage to trick people into going into the more disturbing threads on /b/...and come up with ways to troll people we can't stand.

I've quoted Dragon Ball Z and Bruce Campbell in polite conversation. In fact today, I was arguing with a friend over who would in in a fight between Ichigo from Bleach and Yuskue from Yu Yu Hakusho. I'll also say something like: Wow, that's really interesting. And you know why? It's because long cat is loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg.

A classmate of mine is going to make a dub of an anime in the style of Dragon Ball Abridged, as a school project.

Also: lost the game... sorry...
I have a remedy for that.

OT: I talk with my friends about Warhammer 40,000 and we get weird looks in our topics (Space Marine babies, Primarchs with daddy issues, the like).

Things leak into my mind whether I want them to or not. Sometimes I'll throw out a "Do Not Want!" Or "noob" Comment. Some of my friends are actually folks I met online, so we have inside jokes or memes we run with/
