Name: Dreyfus Littel

Duties: Sommelier (tends the wine celler, sends particular vintages to The Masters when called for his services, handles the purchasing of new vintages)

Skills: An experienced wine expert.

Habits: Very enthusiastic about meeting new people and being new places. Will use the sentence fragment "I thought that ..." And never complete the thought.

Interesting Details: Has a personal hatred for alcohol that is really just a symptom of his dissatisfaction with the comfy sheltered, isolated, life he leads. He often wakes from dreams about wandering the streets of exotic cities with a deep regret that he never ended up lost in his life, drinking strong brews with boisterous strangers and waking up beside nameless exotic women. He speaks a pidgeon variety of a few very odd languages (Arabic, Korean, Portugese).

I don't know if this works entirely with what you had in mind, so let me ask. The idea I had for my character is that he's entirely isolated in the wine celler. The estate has this huge underground wine celler as big as a normal person's house and he just lives there, sleeping on a cot in one of the many alcoves. Or perhaps theres a small apartment adjacent to the wines that he occupies. But either way he hasn't left the wine cellar in years. When the masters want a drink or the chefs decide they want to cook with wine, they give him a call, he picks the vintage and a waiter girl comes and transports it from him to it's recipient. The waiter girl is basically the only person he knows. He occasionally does over the phone bidding on specific wine but all of his interactions happen over the phone and he's just living in the cellar seperated from everyday life and routine.

The problem is, that kind of dictates a setting and I always try to avoid that. If that idea works in your universe, spectacular. If you need me to adjust it, let me know.
