Yea so last night I was finishing up the story modes in Dissidia Duodecim so i could unlock Feral Chaos as a playable character. So I was making my way through the final parts of Chapter '000' with my party and got the the Lufanian Gateway which is the bridge to the final areas of the scenario. I read a little text dialogue and make my way through the oddly empty dungeon with only a single chest to be found. Now given the color of the chest I knew it was a monster in a box (remember those from the old games?) and engaged it.
This is where the game decided to troll me, and troll it did. I engaged to monster only to find out it was the manikin form of Feral Chaos, with 50,000 HP!!! Wha-WHAT THE FUCK!?! O-Oh god it wants to eat me!! Stop it!! FUUUUUUU!!!!
Yea shit hit the fan and it took my Golbez and Gabranth to take him down. I was totally unprepared for this and the game just said "have fun chump". A similar moment happens at the beginning of the game as well with the tutorial you have to do. Once you finish it the moogle asks you if you're good enough and if you answer "I am a master!" He throws you to the pit where you fight Feral Chaos in his normal form that has over 120,000 HP....Yea I'm gonna kill that stupid moogle.
TLDR: When was the last time a game just out right trolled you. Pulled some ludicrous or unexpected action out of nowhere that left you dumbfounded or whatnot. Could be some weird glitch, or something built into the game like the infamous Psycho Mantis, or the entirety of Eternal Darkness.
