This one time I was drunk as hell and playing Dead Space 2. I got to the part where the babies crawled down the wall at you in like chapter 8? or 9? just before the tripod nest and I picked off every single one of them with head shots with the seeker rifle before they even got close to the floor.

I am SO picking up a bottle of grey goose to go with Dead Space 3 on the 5th.

I remember in Halo Reach there's a map, I think it's Sword base, there's this room where the only way in is through a short corridor but the only way in or out is a short distance which you can easily be shot down with a shotgun, but there is an escape to the side, this elevator vent thing that shoots you up. Anyway I camped there on zombies with a bunch of other players but we got bored and decided to run around and fight properly. There was only me and 3 other dudes still alive. We ran to the corridor but 1 died on the way. Us two stayed camped at the end close to the vent in case things went bad. We kept firing as they came in but we wasted our ammo as we didn't have any communication. I need to reload before him so I'm halfway reloaded when another gets in the room but he needs to reload immediately. The zombie gets him and I have just enough time to kill the zombie. I'm all alone as zombies pour in the room, swinging swords fucking everywhere. I don't have enough room so I bail up to the vent but they follow me. Worse thing though, the room it took me too was also full of zombies. They flooded me on both sides and I have never been so fast with a controller, turning around in perfect 180's and just decimating them, until the last ************ where I ran out of ammo and decided to try and melee him to death instead of swithing to pistol, DUMBASS AM I!

Not too badass but it's the closest I get. Oh no wait I am a ninja in Deus Ex but I also save scum so that doesn't count/

At one point I played BZFlag (team-based arena shooter with powerups and deliberate motion) for five-ish hours, against dozens of other players. Ended up with a score of approximately 330-30 in my favor. Didn't play much after that, but for one glorious night I was unstoppable.

Back when Americas Army was version 1-ish I played a bit, especially on bridge crossing map. Once, when doing my usuall path, I noticed I'm last of my team to stand. I went out of my favourite spot and killed EVERY player of the opposite team (yep, my team was pulverized before killing anyone). I was prised by both teams.

I also used to be pretty good at CoD:UO. Mz favourite was CtF on Arnhem as Brits (actually, I always took automatic assigning and pretty much always ended up being a Brit). I rarely seen Brits actually take the flag from Jerries and half those times it was me. I even got invited to some clans (though I never joined one) after my exploits. Also this map has my "bestest" shot ever. I was sniping in one spot when our flag was stolen, so I was scoping windows in the buildings. UO introduced smoke grenades and they were frequently used, this time too. But guy went out of the building fraction of the second too fast and I saw him. Then I pointed in the middle of the smoke and did "His head should be here right about... NOW!" Boom headshot!

I was a headshot/bolt rifle god.

If I saw you for a fraction of a second, on the other side of the map, I could turn, aim, and click on your helmet within another fraction of said second. I used to lay waste to entire teams with nothing but a bolt.
Those were my weapons of choice and I used to kick some serious ass with them too.

Also, I had a good run in Killzone 3 demo in those whole 2 hours I played it. I must've killed like 20+ guys without dying. I run out of ammo thrice and had to scavenge from dead bodies. I also rushed through some catwalk and beautifully melee killed point leader of the opposing team when he was shooting at me. Like in the movies, it felt pretty good. I finally succumbed to some three guys when they cought me looking for a gun/ammo.
I don't play FPSs anymore.

But my biggest accomplishment was beating original Ninja Gaiden...

I used to be ranked top 200 in Battlefield bad company 2, whole matches would go by without a death. Unfortunately that skill does not transfer over to BF3. I always end up being destroyed. My theory is that 1 I don't know the maps, and 2 its less tactical and more of who shot first.

Quite recently I escorted a galaxy in PlanetSide 2. We were two fighters escorting this galaxy, to the Crown. For those who don't know, the Crown is a tower base in the middle of the continent, on top of a mountain. It is almost always covered with AA, and on top of that there was a large force of hostile fighters in the area. I managed to divert some attention from the galaxy, entering a dogfight with at least four enemies. In the end, I didn't kill anyone, but I made it back to base alive.

On the very next flight, I attacked a fighter that was heading straight towards me. I ended up ramming it, and survived to dogfight a bit before finally getting shot down. Mind you, this was over an enemy base with a major air force.

I once finished both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins in the space of 5 days. Proper completionist runs, with all sidequests and no dialogue skipping. Played almost non-stop, breaks only to go to the bathroom or to get some nibbles from the fridge.

As much as I liked the gaming experience, I was suffering from heavy depression at the time and I don't count it as the finest moment of my life. It was during a period of about 3-4 weeks when I barely moved from my bed and in the end was only forced to get on with my life by a looming deadline for my bachelor's thesis.

I was playing Farcry 3 and I took out an entire pirate base with mines, misdirection, and the bow. I felt like fucking RAMBO.

I remember I was a total boss with an M1 Carbine on Call of Duty: World at War, as well as always having stickybombs to take out the tanks with. I think that was probably one of the most satisfying things, blowing up the tank that's been annihilating your team for the last ten minutes. Man, that game was fun, I don't know why I liked it so much more than all the others.

Once you hold an entire wall breach by yourself for about 5 minutes in Mount and Blade Warband you feel unstoppable.

Or if you enter a Chilvary FFA match with 2 minutes left and come out on top.

I'm still pretty badass today at video games but the best thing I can remember doing is playing the border crossing map for the original quake game. There were 3 teams: The first two teams were the Criminals smuggling people across the border, and the police who both had 2 of any Team Fortress Class who were limited to their side of the fence as stepping on the other side was fatal. The third class was the Illegal Immigrants who were armed with an axe and 1/3 of the health of the cops or criminals, and had to ride inside of a big van to get across or try and boost each other over a concrete wall to make a dash for the end of the freeway without being gibbed by the cops. A bit racist, but I didn't think anything of it at the time because I was a kid and the amount of gibs flying in that game made me crack up all the time. Taking down dudes wielding rocket launchers, sniper rifles, and other equipment with a freakin' axe is awesome, but going 20-1 in kills with a bunch of crossings was hilarious. I sunk a lot of time into the original's multi-player... too bad the second one sucked so badly.

Not as impressive as most of the stories here, but over the weekend, my boyfriend and I were playing Borderlands 2 cause of the event. I was able to consistently headshot guys from across the map (sometimes having to jump and shoot while in mid-air) using my very pretty sniper rifle while he kept getting his ass kicked XD I'm gonna chalk it up to a bad day, however, as he has been playing games like this for at least a decade (currently sitting around 500 hours played in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer alone), and this is my first ever FPS

I managed to get rank 2 in a FFA game in Chivalry, this was the first match i played just after buying it, No experience with the game in an FFA matche with people level 5 and above, the only person better was level 20 and had double my score, but my score was about 5 times above the rest of the players.

Also, I was playing RaiderZ in the sewer, swarmed with enemies in a corridor with my friend the healer out of magic i was almost dead and i managed to dodge multiple strikes that would have killed me and right before one i couldn't dodge hit my friend got a kill that allowed me to level up fully restoring my health.

I'm using "badass" pretty relatively here, but my roommate and I were switching off, playing the original Megaman. He's a hardcore Megaman gamer, while I was only familiar with the early X titles. We got to Wily's fortress, where I had to run under 3 giant hopping enemies. With no slide ability, it is not easy, and getting hit really hurts. My friend sat back, laughed, and said, "Good luck getting through that one."

I then had an idea, and used Ice Man's weapon to freeze the hoppers in the air. The plan worked and they stopped in midair when I hit them with the beam. My friend had owned this game for almost a decade, and he had never thought to do that. I smiled smugly and said, "Well, I guess that wasn't so hard after all."

I am randomly the best sniper ever at any call of duty. I was playing MW2 and I had scavenger pro on my sniper rifle (extra ammo). I got a headshot on almost every single shot, and I hit with all of them until I ran out of ammo.

Um... Beating Rayman Origins with 5 purple-bugger-medals on every level in one night... Fucking tinnitus...

Or maybe playing BF3 for 10 hours straight only using the MAV. No kills, only spotting.

I've always been into games, but I would say my "badass" years were Street Fighter 1 and Street Fighter 2. After Super Street Figher came out, I played more on the consoles than in the arcades.

I dunno, probably when I didn't have a job and I was a teenager. I was able to beat almost any game on any difficulty and in no time at all. My proudest moment is beating FFVIII as completely as possible, something I haven't been able to do again with any FF game.

Good times.
