When will CoD fall?

Call of Duty is in the place every single wants to be. If you have a xbox, it is mandatory you have Mw2. It's strange if someone doesn't have it. Everybody loves it, and everybody is going to buy the new one. One of my friends has only played CoD for the past year and plans to only play Black Ops for the next year.
When will this madness end? I used to love Call of Duty. Infact, I still play CoD 4. I have a month played on it. It has kept my interest for 3 years, and mw2 kept mine for 2 months. To me, CoD has died. I'm not buying Black Ops even that will be the only thing my friends are going to talk about. I want a new over-popular game to come out. But when? I think after Sledghammer or Infinityward makes mw3 people will find something new. When do you think?

I don't let fads dictate my gaming. If I like a game, I buy and play it, regardless of the games' popularity. If I ran my collection on Metacritic, the site'd probably explode from all the ups and downs.

Agree with this. They'll pull the franchise to the point where its limbs will simply not stretch any further (this can be many games from now), do some very poor move like make an amazingly poor MMO out of it and then observe as it crashes and burns, even among what used to be die hard fans.

Meh. Who knows. I'm getting Black Ops after Xmas so I'll be contributing to the Activision retirement fund but in many ways Treyarch do seem to have done some interesting things with COD. For one, they did invent Nazi zombies which me and my mates played more of during Modern Warfare 2's reign than any other game.

When your dislike of a game with zero interesting story, but a strong multiplayer, is based on the series as a whole instead of game to game, you are going to be disappointed.

MW2 ruined the cod franchise but i think black ops will redeem it because treyarch actually cares unlike what IW has become hell IW isnt IW anymore everyone who made COD4 so great is gone because activision loves to ruin its games.
