I'm not afraid of the dark, merely less comfortable. If I'm trying to do something in the middle of the night, I just bring my phone and use the screen as I flash light so I don't trip over a cat or anything else. Then I just do the same on my way back.

I dont turn on the lights at all. I stay in the dark so I can pee without really waking up. Also I pee into the bath tub and just turn on the shower for a second so I don't have to aim.
What an ingenious method

Well, I've never really had this issue, because my bedroom is about 2 feet from the bathroom, and I can reach my lightswitch from the bedroom.

I leave a trail of lights from my bedroom to my bathroom so I don't wind up tripping over the clutter or my cat. I turn them on as I go and off as I head back to my room.

Well my bathroom is right next to my bedroom, so I can just leap from doorway to doorway.

I usually turn my bedroom light on when I get up though, so I'm not wandering through the dark. I can't stand the dark. D:

Walk. The only time I'm slightly afraid of the dark is when I've watched a few scary movies, or checked out the scary thread.
Here's a link. No need to thank me.

If have nothing the next day I usually prefer to stay up till 3 or 4 am and sleep in till noon and I have the convenience of having a bathroom located just 2m from my door so wouldn't be much of a run. If I do wake up from sleep though, I'm usually too tired to be terrified. lol

I flick the lights really quick and take a mental picture of the room before turning it off half a second later and try to see how well I memorized where everything was. Sometimes I get used to it enough to go without the light. It's sort of a game.

I usually turn off the lights and stand in the dark for about a minute or so with my eyes closed so they adjust to the dark and I don't kill my toe on some furniture.

I have to be quick. If it's late at night, chances are my dad is watching porn in the living room. Thanks for turning me off from sex forever with your sick crap, dad!

I just walk, it's usually not so dark that I literally cannot see my hand in front of my face.
If it was complete inky blackness, I imagine I would run though!

I'm usually still half-asleep so getting back without tripping over everything on my way is a neat accomplishment.

Lucikily I don't have a fear of the dark so I just walk. I do remember a friend phoning me because he had to talk to someone as he went downstairs at 2am and was shit scared of the dark.

I usually slowly make my way back like I'm a blind man who knows where everything is but will still stub his toe on something.

I never turn the light on. I can usually make out where I am going if I don't turn a light on right away. It's just shadows. I make my way to and from the bathroom in the dark. Then again, my bathroom is 'in' my 'master' bedroom. Sink is in it's own little alcove, and the toilet and shower are crammed into small room right next to it. No need to leave the bedroom.
